Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel (Single-Disc Edition)

Of the 4 chipmunk movies, this is the best. There is less of Dave, and therefore less of the saccharine over-indulgence from the first movie. In this sequel, the chipmunks have to fend for themselves. They cannot eat all of Dave's food because his slacker nephew doesn't buy any. The smug rock star attitude doesn't go over well with the high school bullies who dump know-it-all Simon in the toilet and poke at gluttonous Theodore's huge rump. The movie also avoids the over-heavy number of songs that plagued the third and fourth movies.

My daughter begged me for months for this movie! Waited it to go on sale with prime and now we own it forever!

This is such a cute movie! Great for kids and adults!! Family movie night that my kids (4 & 6) talked about and pretended to be like them for a while.
