2017 Apple iMac with Core i5 2.3GHz (21.5-inch, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD) (Renewed)

The Mac arrived promptly and well packaged. On opening the box the computer came with a power cable and a boxed (non mac) wireless keyboard and mouse. The Mac looked like new with no visible signs of previous use. The keyboard and mouse both worked - and although I have the official MAC products from a previous computer, have continued using them. I am very happy with my purchase.

Great value and looks as good as new.

The computer is in excellent condition, was very well packed and I think that the price was reasonable for a second hand item. However it is disappointing me in that it does seem a lot slower than my previous similar older model and I will need to have this checked out.

A brilliant product - truly excellent condition. Very impressed -even better spec than specified. We bought this for the children to have a communal desktop (rather than disappearing off to their rooms with our laptops!). We didn't actually expect such great quality - but now I know how good the quality is, and if this mac lasts and lasts like mine has, I don't think I'll be buying first hand again.

I’m all for recycling. But it should have been some kind of warning when this bundle arrived packed in layer after layer of “returned from” forms. So far, I have found FIVE previous owners addresses. How cheap is this company that they don’t even peel off the layers of “returned from” stickers?.Anyway, i didn't think that a 2017 iMac could have BigSurOS installed (as was advertised), but i am no expert. Which is exactly why i asked, just to double-check. And i was specifically told that, yes, i would get an iMac with BigSurOS installed..But i did not. It came with the two years older MojaveOS installed..They lied in the listing, and they lied to me, because they knew that they could charge much more for the same machine with an OS that will still continue to get security updates from Apple long after Mojaves support has officially ended (if it hasn't already)..Add to that the Ethernet port on the one i got only works every now and then. And no matter if I use a cable or WiFi I have measured the internet speed on this machine at just 32 bytes per second. Not megabytes, not kilobytes, but 32 bytes per second. The web was faster than this 40 damn years ago!.The included mouse would be painfully small even in a babies hands. And the keyboard they sent is very specifically a Windows keyboard!.I would rather source my own mouse and keyboard, and they drop the price by however much they are charging for these because, apart from what i have already mentioned, they are just of the lowest quality possible. Even those of us buying second hand want better for our macs than this junk..One of the very first things that the set up process asks us to do is to transfer data from our old mac. I transferred roughly 500GB of via an Ethernet cable. This was the only time the Ethernet port worked well. But it was only after i had done this transfer that i realised which OS i was in..Once i had said that i wanted a refund i tried to wipe my data from this device ready to send it back. And if you have ever tried to wipe a one terabyte hard drive with the maximum security settings (7 passes), then you know it is not instantaneous. I thought i must have done something wrong, or missed something. So i went through the process multiple times. And every time it said it was done instantaneously. There’s not a computer on Earth that can wipe hundreds of GB from a spinning drive in the blink of an eye. Even a completely empty drive of this size takes time to check. And it often takes hours, sometimes days to wipe securely on a Mac like this..So i do not believe my data is being wiped even if it says it has been. And i do not trust this company now. So what do i do? Do i keep a machine that i really can't afford (because i have no use for this device // system)? Or do i chance returning it to a company that i do not trust, and for all i know could even be harvesting peoples data this way?.Later….Since originally posting this negative review I see that the seller has dropped the asking price from the £364 that they charged me just a couple of weeks ago. And yet they still have NOT changed the description from what it was, to what they are actually sending out. That should tell you everything..

It’s a Christmas present so could set up yet but looks good. A couple of scratches on back and one on front but other than that like new

I'm glad I decided to replace an elderly and rather slow iMac. Being able to buy reconditioned suits my purse. Not being a technic nerd this was a bit seat of the pants; I'm glad I opted for a series which allows room for the most recent software. The computer arrived impressively quickly. A rather tacky keyboard and mouse was included which was in principle helpful, though I found the keyboard didn't have all the functionality required and was glad to be able to pair my existing apple key board and mouse which are more robust. That said, I am very pleased that I've been able to upgrade the operating system and that allows me to use the Microsoft Office suite as before. All in all a very satisfactory improvement in terms of speed and facility.

This did not have the appearance of a refurbed machine and had all the hall marks of being new. I suspect it was a demo model in a showroom. Delivery was ultra fast: 5 days before scheduled., fantastic given the current lockdown circumstances. Packaging was very substantial. 1 Terrabyte of storage + 8 gigabyte of ram , wow!!Not over impressed with either keyboard, which had no additional USB ports or wirless mouse; rather flimsy and neither made by Apple. Time will tell re. longevity.Good job I am computer and AppleMac savvy as there was absolutely not even a basic instruction sheet re. setup.AFter 24 hours of play well impressed. Nit picking points however.Good size screen and good value.I live in France and the supplier was thoughtful enough to send me a lead with a French plug so another bonus point.
