Dungeons & Dragons Spellbook Cards: Magic Items (D&D Accessory)

Shipped fast, just got them in and only had time to skim through them, but enough to comment on quality. They're very good. Thin, but nice lamination. If they hold up through the games is a test of time, but from what I can tell they look good, well packaged, all of the prints are clean and text is clear. No blemishes. I saw a lot of reviews that stated repetition of pictures or irrelevant pics for the said item. Again, I haven't gone through all of them, but I haven't found anything concerning. I am new to dnd and it's content, so I can see how that is an irritant for more seasoned players that are looking for more custom-like cards, but from a designer's point of view, I understand why some designs repeat. It's the same in video games and an efficient way to create content. I don't find the designs unappealing much less an issue for playing. That's just my opinion and why I gave them 5 stars. Lots of cards and item variety with good descriptions, these will definitely help someone like me who is new to the game to fill my world out!

The other reviews are right, there is not a large variety of pictures. I am happy that my players can refer to the cards for a definition of the items actions/worth, this is the main reason I gave them a five star review. There is only one of each card. This may be fine for armor or weapons, but if you were wanting more than one "Potion Of Healing" your out of luck. Amazing addition to any D&D 5e world and more. One thing I always found lacking in D&D for my players was recording all items via their character sheet. While this is important, I often found players forgetting what they had and even what it did for use in those critical moments that could save their life and turn the tide of battle. Using these I am able to hand them out to players as they lose or gain magic items and it provides a sens of ownership and loot advancement throughout the long journey of each campaign and so forth. It's made a huge different and my games have sense been far smoother with players being much more clever and interactive with these at their fingertips.

These are high-quality, durable laminated cards, and explain each magic item clearly so you don't have to refer to the Dungeon Master's Guide or print out your own cards on paper.My only complaint is the variety of pictures. Most of the items have a picture of the item on the back of each card. However, since not every magic item in the DMG has a picture, they had to come up with some "miscellaneous" or placeholder pictures for some of them. Although this is unavoidable, I wish they would've been a bit more consistent with their depictions. For example, one of the robe items shows a picture of a suit of armor on the back. Although the cloak of protection, for example, has a unique picture all its own, I would have rather they had put its picture on the robe's card so that it at least looked like a robe. Many of the others just show a miscellaneous picture of a book with a wand and gems on it when they could've just duplicated one of the other wands, or books, or whatever the specific item was.Like I said, most of the items have a picture depicted perfectly, but it just seems lame that some of the items are just seen as less important than the other items because they just have a throwaway picture associated with them.

My players really like using these cards. I use them a lot when they’re in a specialty shops.

These cards are great for players of dnd that either forget or don't have alot of experience with the game. It gives them a visual and details of base game magic items and potions. Great buy if you want to get Into the game but have less experienced players.

Exactly like on the photos. The only Negative is that there are some magic items that got some kind of "default" image. They could have at least generated some pictures with AI if they really didn't wanted to pay for an artist.Also, Amazon drop DpD as the Hungarian delivery service, because I'm not buying another item from you until you do.
