This item is not plug and play. If you do, do that, it'll show as a disk drive. Driver files are embedded on the adapter and have to go through installation setup. This flips the device from disk to adapter.Also, it doesn't connect in 5G mode. I had to open my router for connection. No problem, it's password protected.Hope what I typed helps.

Works perfectly, as intended. It's a usb plug in device. I installed the software, plug in play. It instantly worked. Must keep plugged into laptop in order to work. My HP laptop kept dropping the wifi router connection or the internet was slow like dial up. The signal still shows low bars, however, this thing makes my laptop internet speed work fast still. Get it. Small size.

This item did not work for me. I have two windows 11 pc's and could not get the adapter to work at all. Every time I connected it via USB, to either Windows 11 PC, it would freeze the system for upwards of 30 minutes before I had to manually disconnect it to get my system back. I typically like UGreen products, but stay away from this one and stick with Netgear, D-Link, Linksys, TrendNET adapters instead.

I replaced my desktop computer with a new one that could run windows 11. The old computer was still good and I could use it for online gaming but it didn’t have WiFi capability. Got this little guy and BAM! WiFi. Super easy to setup and works great.

Make sure you watch the 'How to install' video first. Did not plug 'n' play. However once I saw how to install took a few seconds and then computer was running super fast. My computer had a 72 mbs limit now over double the speed and working great.

It works once setup. It took me a while to realize there is a setup.exe file in the usd drive. Basically think it as a USB drive first. I stupidly consider it more like a network adapter and started looking at device drivers, and i didn't read instructions carefully

This WiFi adapter is simple and easy to use. My son is able to use it from his room, all the way to the router in the garage. It worked with windows 10 and 11 and the connectivity is great. When installing, you have to update from the files but after that it works very well

I just recently installed a TP-Link Wifi 6 access point. I was getting roughly 400 Mbps download using the built-in Wifi in my Dell Inspirion 802.11ac adapter.I installed the UGreen adapter into a USB 3 port in the laptop. The installation was really smooth (thus why it got 3 stars and not 2). I had disabled the on-board adapter to make sure there was no conflict.When I ran the same speed test, I was only getting just over 200 Mbps. I reran the test several times. I was up super early in the morning, making sure I was the only one in the house using the network. When I removed the UGreen adapter and re-enabled the on-board adapter, I was back up to the 400-ish Mbps from before.I had expected to have around 600 Mbps on the UGreen adapter (half again more). I got half the performance of the on-board adapter.I think for people with laptops where the onboard Wi-Fi has died, this could be a really good option. It is inexpensive, and it installed really easily. However, I absolutely got the exact opposite of my expectations for speed.
