Good size for lunch box - material is more durable then plastic ice bags

This may be completely on me but I just assumed they’d keep things cold for longer periods of time. I have to use all of the ones that came in the pack (which is fine) but it doesn’t really seem to capture the temperature of traditional ice packs.I may have bought these for food purposes, which didn’t work out for me BUT I leave a 3 star review instead of 1 because these could have better medical applications than your traditional ice pack. Because it doesn’t get as cold, it could potentially work great in a pinch if someone suffers a contusion, edema or is need of pain relief without the risk of skin integrity. Great product for lunchboxes. Sometimes a lunchbox can be cramped with all of the food and zero space, thankfully, these ice bags keep the lunchbox cool without sacrificing space. Also, great for use as a flexible ice pack for those bumps and bruises.

The product must be soaked in water before freezing. So if water goes in, it will also come out. The picture shows it about to go in top of a sandwich…. That won’t be good. I should have read about the product before ordering. Just wrap your ice in a hand towel.

These little ice packs start out completely flat. You just add water to make them expand for freezing. Lightweight, durable, and portable - they're perfect for travel, food shopping, lunches, even first aid. If you're a giant kid who still thinks things that grow in water (toy animals, washcloths, etc.) are cool, you enjoy watching these turn into ice packs. Lol

Won’t stay frozen or cold all day. They are fancy ice cubes that won’t leak water when they melt. I tested them in a large insulated picnic lunchbox in 80 degree weather. They kept my drink chill for the 2-3 hours I was out, but they were completely melted once I got back home. I don’t believe they would keep things cold for much longer than that, especially in hot weather.I also used them to keep groceries chilled on the drive home, but that’s not a long trip either. These are only good for shorter outings.

Got these because they had good reviews and need to keep my diet Coke COLD for lunch. Very lightweight and pliable, which is good. I put a room temp soda in my lunch in the morning (forgot to put it in the fridge before, lunch fail) and when I got it out at lunch, it was super cold. Great purchase.
