Q: I see it's compatible with smarthings, but can i connect it directly to my samsung hub instead of the sonoff zbbridge?

Yes it is compatible with the SmartThings Hub. I have two connected successfully in this way.

Q: Are the batteries removable or rechargeable at all?

The batteries are CR2450 lithium coin batteries. The sensors come with batteries and you have to remove a plastic tab before first use. When the battery runs out you can replace it.

Q: Will this work with the Philips Hue bridge?

I don't know about that brand, I bought ZigBee because it was free to use and it proved very good and reliable.

Q: will this pair directly to SmartThings Hub?

I successfully added two SNZB-02 sensors to my SmartThings Hub and receive regular temperature and humidity readings from both.
