Amazing
This guy is really fun, well built, I have only tested it prior to it being a Christmas present for 2013 but I had so much fun with it..It will take a bit of programming but lots of varied movements...so much fun, I bought 2 other cheaper interactive robots but this was well as I have a 6 year old and 5 year old twins its worth spending the extra on. ... major robot wars at Christmas I think this one will win

Great toy - could be better?
Ok - first off this is a great toy purchased more than a year ago for a boy that consistently said he wanted a robot, and this clearly fits the bill. Robosapien's pretty entertaining too with his grunts and dance moves. Another thing that _really_ impressed me is the battery life - 4 D cells are not cheap but he uses the power wisely! What I would like to see is a bit more control of the device to ( maybe? ) encourage a bit of robotic programming. For example, you can program in a few steps, and even an 'interrupt' so that if he touches something that triggers another routine. Sounds great, but that is lost when he powers down, so you have to go through the programming rigmarole again, and you can't prepare something to show later. Also the number of programmable steps is very limited, especially considering the cost of memory nowadays.Next thing ( an extra option? ) would be a port that you could program him via a computer to maybe to a bit more e.g. walk forward until you touch something, open hand, turn around and walk away. Program each motor separately. That might also allow an algorithm to get him to walk straight ( ours doesn't ).In conclusion then, I would recommend this product that it certainly does what it advertises, and the toy has suffered the usual knocks and rough treatment that toys get without any visible damage - but ( maybe version 2? ) has some room for improvement as an educational toy.

So i bought myself a Robosapien
After reading all the reviews here, i said all right, go on then and bought myself a robosapien. Mind you i am 30. Ha..ha.. in all honesty it can be very good fun for a 15 year old. for a 30 year old with a kid. nah.. it isn't as hi-fi and modern as it advertises.basically a toy robot with few preprogrammed commands. you can make it do a few things, fling its arm around, whistle (series of 6 things)but the novelty wears out in a day or two.So there you are, i feel a bit silly. may be if i were a teenager again i would have enjoyed it. does anyone want it at a cheap price?

Great product
When I bought 1st time they sent non working robot. I asked them to replace, then the day I got new robot. The robot really awesome and I used this robot for my project work in university work. My professor really happy with robot internal mechanism functioning and I cracked the robot coding structure. It’s really helpful product for university students for robotics engineering project works.

Not worth the money
Bought this for my 4 year old for xmas and he never uses it , the remote control is so complicated I have no idea how to use it so it can only do about 5 things , so my son has no chance, it looks impressive and everyone says wow , rapidly followed by disappointment when it wobbles around a bit and make a few noises ...

brilliant robot for older kids 6+
I bought this Robosapien for my kids birthday and he was over the moon, the robot is funny, cute and doesnt use the batteries too quick. it arrived in perfect condition and was fast. This robot is quite fragile so would suit older kids the remote can be confusing and does take a while to get used to.

Bought this for my 5 year old grandson for Christmas. He loved it and after a lot showing him how to work it he started to have fun with it, The arms are a bit fragile but it is still going strong and it has been knocked over a few times. Would say you have to be carful with it. It was packed well and delivery was good.
