As far as grinding, it's 100% fine. However, it's REALLY loud; like wake up your spouse in the other room, loud. Also, no static-free cup means it makes a mess, no matter how much you try to not.

I like the fact that I can grind my own coffee beans to my liking and have fresh coffee whenever.

I think this is my third - yes I have burned two others out over 20+ years , I have several others which I either use for specialty coffee or herbs. This is for my daily grind and it grinds about 2 pounds a week so that is about 100 pounds a year and I get 7 years of use out each one - that's 700 pounds of coffee - that's a lot of coffee and frankly if I could change the grinding burrs it would last even longer.

I have used this model for many years, trouble free. It finally failed, so I replaced it with the same model. I recommended it to friends who are delighted with it.
