Really Wanted to Like This Case
I really wanted to like this case but, unfortunately, I’ve had one problem after another with it. First, the black border started peeling and lifting. I didn’t realize until I was editing footage and the top of one of the pieces kept blowing down into the shot, ruining some of my footage. Was disappointing but seemed like a small issue, so I glued it back down and decided to give the case another try. After using it a handful more times, all the black trim started to lift and peel so, again, I fixed it, but unfortunately not before more footage was impacted by the trim blowing into the frame (I did try to use it without the black trim first, but it seemed to impact the stitching). After I re-glued all the trim and that issue seemed to be solved, I took it back out and this time the case started leaking (thankfully I was in shallow water and my camera ports were all properly closed). I checked the case and it appeared to be caused by the fog strip having slipped down slightly (I am just guessing because the case was fully closed and locked, but it was the only potential interference I could spot). Of course by that point the fog strip was soaked and, when I tried to move it up a little, it folded and then became difficult to get back in place, so I had to remove it. We were already in the water so I couldn’t replace it with a new one and I just tried to get whatever footage I could, but I kept having to clear the case. This time, epic footage swimming with a gorgeous sea turtle was ruined by fog and small amounts of water and water droplets inside the case (was difficult to get all the water out after it flooded since I had to troubleshoot at the surface of the water). Again, I was very disappointed about the footage but it seemed like an easy enough issue to fix in the future. I used it several more times after that and then took it out again on a slightly choppy day and, as I was getting into the water, a wave broke and somehow pulled off the rubber protective covering (one of my favorite aspects of this case). After that, I started using the protective velvet bag instead, and the case was ALWAYS in the bag when I entered and exited the water. However, after a few uses like that, I noticed the case had some cracks and scratches, with no apparent cause or incident that I could identify (again, more impacted footage). Thankfully it’s a 360 camera so, in most cases, I was able to find some footage that I could salvage and I have started turning the camera around to shoot with the back side, but I will have to replace the case. I also have an Insta360 OneX2 and only purchased the Insta360 cases for it. I decided to try this case for my new X3 because it looked similar and I really liked the rubber dome protector. Sadly, I wasn’t aware that the case is not at all scratch resistant without it. Insta360’s case also seems to scratch easily (an issue that I haven’t seen with the GoPro cases), but I didn’t have nearly the number of issues with their cases (and they have replaced scratched cases for me at no additional charge). I was hoping someone would have solved for this issue, and I REALLY wanted to love this case, but I guess I will be going back to the Insta360 cases until/unless someone can come out with something better.

Don't Trust the Mounting Screw
The case is easy enough to mount on the end of a stick, but the screw isn't quite long enough to hold the case on the end. It comes off very easily and I don't want to risk losing my camera to the deep.Because it's so loose it also frequently changes angles on the mount. Overall I'm not likely to use this but silly me, I waited passed the window to return it.

Leaked after 2nd use
I washed it with freshwater less than 2 hours after using it but the buttons started to rust (even the screw for the mount did) and then it leaked no matter what I adjusted. We were just snorkeling so I didn't have to worry about it ruining the camera but it did mess up 3 days of potential footage that I could have used the case for on vacation. Returning it and won't be getting another.

Serviceable waterproof case for the Insta360 X3
I'm hoping to do some underwater shooting in the next few months and with that in mind I've started to accumulate accessories to facilitate that. I picked up a nice waterproof light earlier this month and thought a case for my Insta360 x3 would be a good choice for my next addition. It's serviceable to be sure but not as much of a 'home run' as the aforementioned lights. The case claims that It's waterproof to 50 meters/150 feet which is extremely impressive since the Insta360 x3 only promises to be waterproof to 10 meters/30 feet. I'm going to test this out a bit without the camera before I use it in any 'live' underwater situations. One thing I didn't like--the case can't accommodate the Insta360 x3 if you've got lens guards on it. It looks like the top part of the case is big enough, but you can't even get the camera in that far with the lens guards. Maybe that's just the way it is--the OEM waterproof case has essentially the same design at a slightly higher price point. Nothing wrong with this case but until I see how it performs in legit underwater situations I'm still a bit leery of a third party product.

Good value... if it doesn't leak
This looks to be a great deal on a waterproof case for the X3. I know it is airtight since it popped apart with some force the first time I separated the two halves, I assume due to the altitude difference since I'm in Colorado. There was a satisfying pop sound, too. If it keep air inside under some pressure, I assume it will keep water out. I say this because to be honest, I haven't actually tried this underwater, but I am optimistic.Looking at pictures of the "official" Insta360 dive case, this one seems to be an exact clone, but for less money. It looks so identical, it's possible it's the same manufacturer? My X3 fits the case perfectly and the buttons align as they should, which should make for easy operation under water. The package comes with several anti-fog inserts, as well as some round stickers that go on the two finger mount for some reason unknown to me and isn't explained in the manual. It also includes a wrench for tightening a "GoPro-Style" mount. Also included is a run of the mill plastic tripod socket to GoPro mount.I like the big silicone protective sheath that fits over the bulbous end to keep the optics area clean and scratch free when not in use. Overall, I'm very happy with this dive case and will let you know if it fails when the weather warms up a bit and I get a real chance to use it.
