Excellent..
Arrived on time. Come calibrated and with additional congestion l calibration packets. Bit plasticy but decent build. After the first use it finds the pH fast. Very precise. Can't fault it

A solid choice for kombucha brewers
I bought this pH meter to monitor my kombucha brewing. So far I've found it very handy and can't really fault it for home use. Readings tend to stabilize after about 4 seconds, which is pretty good.Calibration out of the box was off by about 0.15, but the included buffer packets lets you take care of that, which is nice. One thing to note is that the calibration is linear, meaning you basically just set an offset for the reading the meter gives. You cant adjust the scale if it gets off over time, so the meter will be less accurate as you get further from the pH of the calibrant. However, this shouldn't be an issue for non-scientific applications.tl;dr: A great choice for home-brewers, cheesemakers, and more. Calibrate it on first use.

It doesn't work
Despite following instructions carefully, this pH pen is not accurate and doesn't do it's job. It is the second PH pen I have bought in 24 hours, neither of them are accurate. I will be reverting back to traditional chemical means of pH testing as I can't rely on these electronic pens, in my view this is a waste of money

So far so good!
Given the marmite-like quality of the reviews on this product, I thought I would wade in with my experience so far. I have a few tanks and recently really got into trying to understand water chemistry and testing. I wanted a "second opinion" on my liquid pH kits so bought this pen. It seems to confirm, though with great granularity, ease and accuracy, the results of my liquid kits, which I find quite hard to read (I always imagine that I can see the pH colour going in the wrong direction!). I tend to buffer my own RO water and this pen is accurately reading the results of the buffering – for example, I use Lake Tanganyika buffer to raise the pH to 9. I tested with the liquid kit, which read 8.5-9.5ish, whereas the pen was reading 8.9-9.1, as I would have expected. To ensure more accurate alkaline readings, I purchased a 9.18 buffer for calibration – it was only off by a little when it arrived; it was bang on the neutral buffer though! I will continue to use this product and would recommend to others. However, I would say having multiple options to read pH would not be a bad idea, just in case. Originally, I was going to spend £100 on a Hanna pH pen – which has reviews that are also somewhat mixed – and all the buffer, cleaning chemicals and storage solutions that it requires, but thought I'd first take a chance on this pen – for now, this seems to have paid off.

Calibrated; really???
Seems to be a decent budget pH meter which I bought to check my mash pH for all grain brewing. However, the claim that it's pre calibrated is nonsense, mine was nowhere near, reading pH 8.5 in tap water! Using the included buffer solutions and following the calibration instructions soon had it reading correctly. Just glad I checked it before it's first use though!Other than this it works well, I can't comment on longevity, but at this price, if I can get 12 months use from it, I'll be quite happy.

By far the best PH Devices
Love these for simplicity and accuracy. I've tried many different types but these are easy to calibrate and adjust if needed. They are the only PH meters I really trust
