Super handy

GREAT item, handy size. Know your watt needs. Quiet, super efficient on eco mode. Have 2, one for over a year. The only problem I had was it kept stopping under a relatively light load. Turns out, the california filter on the exhaust tends to plug up over time and create too much back pressure. Just clean it out or replace it and off you go again. The only gripe I have is it's not the easiest thing to change oil on--have to remove the entire left side.

Great value, the 1250w is enough for all the small essentials during a major power outage

I Purchased the 1250W unit after hurricane Irma left us without power for over a week. I also purchased a GE 5000BTU window ac unit from HomeDepot a few days prior. This little generator powered that window unit and still had 500watts to spare!. I know that with motors, the surge watts are what kill you on a generator purchase, but as long as I powered the window unit on first, all was well. With only the window unit running at night (plus a few cell phone chargers) the generator could be put in eco mode and would idle down making it even quieter. During the day I would plug in our wifi and a TV to watch the news, even a few lamps to put in the bathroom and such. The unit was able to run our refrigerator as well but not at the same time as using the AC, so we would run it for 20/30 mins at a time a few times a day and keep it shut the rest of the day.We live in an apartment on the 2nd floor and were able to run the generator on our patio/balcony without issues. It's by no means silent, but it's quiet enough that if you close the sliding glass door, you'd be hard pressed to know it was running 10ft away. The rubber feet keep it from vibrating the floor and also keep it from vibrating it self around the patio haha. I'd say it's about as loud as the AC units on the ground floor by our bedroom window.I like the lightweight design and easy simple controls. I ran it a few days for multiple hours and haven't had any issues. The instructions show how to clean it out for long-term storage and I put it in a closet for now.Only negative note is that it does not ship with oil, so you have to find an open autozone to purchase a quart from, and still go to a gas station for gas of course.Come the next big storm or hurricane in FL, I'm not confident that I can keep one room cool and have power for a TV or laptops if needed.Update - I have one of these guys and it really helps when you are deciding what wattage generator to purchase. We went with the smallest wen size because after adding up everything we were only at 800watts of power needed for our "necessities" https://www.amazon.com/P3-P4400-Electricity-Usage-Monitor/dp/B00009MDBU/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1507575596&sr=1-1&keywords=kill+a+watt

Waiting

Ok so I told myself that if we bought this we would never have to use it, that’s how my luck is. Surprise we’ve used it twice and it works great. Very quite and efficient.

False advertisement - it's only 800 Watts continuous, not 1000! Starter cord broke in only 4 months.

I needed solid 950 watts continuous output, that's why I chose this generator, as it's rated 1000W continuous. To my huge disappointment, it turned out this generator outputs only something like 800W continuous - at 850W it starts blinking red light, at 900W it shuts down from overload. Blatantly false advertisement! After only 4 months of use (maybe 2-3 runs a week on average), the recoil starter cord snapped. It is rubbing on the housing and it's only a matter of time. I've had generators lasting 5 years with zero problems with cords, how come this one has such a trivial flaw? Was it ever tested?!To replace the rope, I disassembled the generator. That was epic, in a bad sense! It turns out, you need to remove both halves of the shell, but they have major components (engine, inverter, gas tank, control panel) attached to them, so when you remove the halves, everything just falls apart! (insert double facepalm here, because one is not enough) Putting it all together requires like 1000 Buddha's hands, as everything must snap and be screwed together at the same time. Terrible design! I guess, the designers never tried to take it apart in real life - they just verified that everything fits in CAD, and clicked "send to production" button! Truly unbelievable. If I ever have to take it apart again, I might just screw those components directly on some piece of plywood and throw away the orange shell altogether. That's how it should have been designed to begin with - components are attached to foundation, then the shell halves are screwed onto this foundation.

Efficient and Quiet

Only used twice now but so far it's been great for our needs, which were fairly low continuous watt output and something that was quiet for camping. We don't do campsites with power outlets and often cell service is sketchy, so we needed to rig our Starlink, laptop and other little things. It starts right up and keeps very quiet, especially on eco mode, and half a gallon lasts forever.

Great tool

I keep it in a Jobox in the truck. I pull it out every day after the first set of cordless tool batteries go dead, and I leave it running the rest of the day. It wont run the coffee pot (full size 12 cup Mr Coffee) but it runs the 700w B&D microwave, two M18 rapid chargers, apartment fridge, and my stereo all day. I'd say it uses about 3/4 tank of fuel in a 6 hour period. I keep it on eco mode, use synthetic oil, NGK iridium plug, and ethanol-free fuel. It has never failed to start, but it took about 10 pulls one day when it was 4°F outside and super humid. Still then it ran smoothly the whole time.

Great little generator

Husband used the generator for his RV on his deer hunting trip last week. He said it worked perfectly and is so much more portable than his old one. Because this one is an inverter, it puts out cleaner electricity that can be used to power your laptop, and any other electronic decives you may use. He loves it! It will also be useful in the event of a power outage to run the fridge or a few lights.
