Purchased as a gift for my son and he loves it. He enjoys that it is magnetic and came with magnet "pins" to place on different locations and talk about where we've been. He likes to look at the world and can spend hours with it asking us questions about all the countries and oceans etc. His dad is French and he has lots of family who live there and so we talk about where they live and find it on the map regularly. He says it's so interesting and so beautiful.

I actually would like to return this, but it’s out of my return window. I just don’t need it how I thought I would but it’s super cute and I love that it is magnetic. It’s not too big not too small. It does come with the magnetic tacks as well, but I ordered more because they only give you a few. Said I no longer need it, but I have to keep it.

I got this as gift for my wife. She was absolutely delighted to have it.It arrived in a timely way, packaging looked fine.Upon opening, we found no real interior stabilizer materials to keep it from moving around inside the box, just a scraps of bubble wrap and foam. No where near enough to stop it from moving inside the box.Due to the lack of protection, the base has been bent, and the plastic degree indicator at the north pole is damaged and broken.In the future, I highly recommend additional packaging, or a complete re-evaluation of the packaging.The globe it's self is great and my wife adores it.

The globe is beautiful, and appears to be well made.Why 3 stars you ask ? I bought this for a 7 year old granddaughter and had it delivered to her home thinking my daughter would pull it out of the shipping box and hand it to my granddaughter, think again.The globe arrived with assembly required my daughter who is no idiot could not see how it all went together.There were NO assembly instructions in the box.Finally I was given the job of looking at it before committing to return it. While I am very mechanically inclined and I did find a method to assemble the globe I thought the manufacturer should have their head examined shipping a product in this manner.Perhaps this is not the standard condition the globe normally arrives in, I hope so because for many people it would be unacceptable and beyond their abilities.
