As soon as you pick these up, you can feel the balance and quality. They feel good in the hands. For me the balanced weight is ideal. Smooth clean cuts thru fruit and tomatoes. Work well with meats also. I would though recommend a good quality cutting board when using these. There is no reason to push down hard on the board surface because they are razor sharp right out of the packaging. I have used them for a few months now and they hold their edge very well. If I am cutting cooked thicker meat, I will use a couple swipes of a metal honing rod to quickly restore them to perfect edge sharpness before cutting. I am planing on buying a few more types of knives from this company. Also, if you don’t have one yet, I’d recommend a wood block to organize the knives. Very handy when working with different meats, food, and breads.

These two kitchen knives are well made and come with a decent edge, thus sharp, but not as razor sharp as I'd prefer.The handles are well shaped thus fit the hands very well.Overall a good purchase!

These are quality knives. They are extremely sharp and feel well in the hand . Well worth the cost. These knives are used on a daily basis and have retained their edge for well over three months. My only word of caution is be careful as I have stated they are sharp.

They’re a great set of casual knives but you should wash & dry them soon ish after using/not let them in the sink long because they’ll get rust spots.

I like knives. That sounds creepy! Seriously, I do most of the cooking for our household and prefer extremely sharp knives. I have other paring knives but was interested in trying these Henckels. They were sharp out of the package but I still hone them before each use anyway. They work well and feel comfortable when using them. Can't ask for more than that. Highly recommended!
