This grinder is surprisingly good for the price. It runs smoothly and it not too loud (still kinda loud). The provided grinding wheels are okay, but replacements are not too expensive either.The little shields over the wheels are nice, but hard to adjust on my unit, I think it might be an issue with my specific unit though and not with the design.I never used the built in light but I think it's a good idea. It is usually pretty dark in my shop so I'm sure I'll come around to using it hah.The only issue I've had so far is that the size of the wheel is not much bigger than the motor housing. This makes it awkward to grind larger things. If the object is long and you are very limited in the angle you can hold it. Makes it particular hard for lawn mower bades and similar.Overall: would buy again for the pricePros- strong, small, good featuresCons- hard to grind long objects, not great product qc

I've done all sorts of grinding and polishing wheels on it, and ran it through it's paces. I would buy another one for this price, if I needed another one. This WEN variable speed runs fantastic .A must have for the price.

This has been, especially for the price, a good little grinder for sharpening mower blades, shovels and for buffing and cleaning household items. I was able to easily remove a grinding wheel and replace it with a buffing wheel. The swap was pretty straightforward. Still going strong after almost 10 years.

I’m a DIYer and woodworker and this Wen grinder fits my needs perfectly. Assembly was pretty easy, although I found aligning and leveling the tool supports to be challenging. I’ve already sharpened chisels and kitchen knives and am very pleased with the ease of effort and the outcome. Yes, the light wiggles around while operating the grinder but I’ll find a workaround to make it stationary. So far, I’m very happy with the value received for the price paid. Only time will tell about its longevity and durability.

I got my bench grinder a few days ago but have already logged quite a few hours into it given the current quarantine situation. I am a hobbyist of sorts and hand make all my pieces, work primarily with metal, and make various kinds of EDC multi tools and blades. Despite having various pieces of machinery that "could" get the job done (I currently have the Wen Belt & Disc Grinder, a 14" Drill Press, the Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition Knife and Tool Sharpener/Grinder, and the Dremel 4000 with all the attachments available), with out this new Bench Grinder it took much longer and was much more difficult when doing any job especially when trying to be as precise. It makes aggressive removal of material (any metals so far) a breeze , and on the opposite side of the spectrum it handles any buffing and the softest of your heavy duty polishing needs with ease. A must have tool in your arsenal!. Incredible value as it is very affordable and comes with the 36 and 60 grit wheel. I have multiple Pieces of machinery by Wen and have not been disappointed yet. Well made, solid pieces of machinery.
