Spendy? Yes. But very nice.
Obviously, this is just a piece of wood. There's no technology or features or anything else. It's a simple piece of wood for your lower palms to rest on as you type. I paid about $30bucks for it, which seems like a lot for something that I could have made in my garage.BUT... it's pretty nice. Things in this life take time or money, and time is valuable - so I spent the money instead. I placed my order yesterday, had it shortly after lunch today, and am using it as I type this review. I could have made it myself for cheaper, but it would have taken a LOT more time to get to a finished product. The wood is nice. It looks to my untrained eye like a nice walnut. Each one will be unique, of course, but mine has a nice grain, with some depth and interest and nothing distracting. The finish seems fairly thin, but even. Some of the micro ridges in the grain aren't entirely filled, so it was probably just a quick spray job - but it works. It's tapered, which makes it more comfortable. The front is pretty thin and the back is just slightly taller than the front part of my Keychron K3. It's not quite a seamless transition to the keyboard, but it doesn't need to be. It works fine and you really have to be looking close to notice the slight unevenness. The taper is also rounded slightly, so it's not just a straight slab top - it curves. The bottom has two large feet made of a rubber like substance. It will slide on my desk if I try hard enough, but the feet generally hold it where I put it and don't get in the way if I want to move it and/or my keyboard. For me, this palm rest really improves the feel of the K3. It's a low-profile keyboard, but it's not as flat as some so if you're lazy like me and resting your palms on the desk while you type, your wrists are bent a little bit. The palm rest flattens things out nicely, and looks good too.The K3 version does not have the Keychron logo plate, which for me was a big bonus. It's unobtrusive on my desk, even though it's a different color than the finish of my desktop.Overall, considering the use, quality, finish, workmanship, etc. of the wrist rest, I'm not sorry I spent the $30 bucks on it.

High quality palm rest that fits the K8 Pro perfectly
I received the palm rest for my K8 Pro today. My initial reactions:1. It feels very high quality.2. It fits under the keyboard perfectly.3. The color is a close enough match to the photos on their website.4.The embossed metal "Keychron" logo on the bottom right is both unnecessary and annoying since I end up feeling it when I move my fingers over the arrow keys.5. While I agree with others that it's overpriced, it is a custom item that fits the keyboard perfectly, so I'm happy to pay extra for that luxury.Overall, I'm happy with the palm rest, but I'm still not convinced that I actually need it.I've heard people say that without a palm rest their hands/wrists get sore, but I've yet to experience that. I have a 30 day return window. We shall see!

Pretty good value for a wood wristrest when on sale, but not the best in a couple of respects
First off wood is not the most comfortable material to lay your fleshy grabbers on, but it's not terrible by any means. The main issue I have is cosmetic and feel. Before talking about that, however, it looks great on the desk and the wood grain looks fantastic, it's a decent wood wristrest for the price, just has more imperfections than I would like. The rubberized feet are also quite good and keep it in place during typing without issue.Towards the right end the board isn't perfectly smooth and you can feel some small burs that were not fully sanded down, also the keychron logo is not perfectly level in the little insert they set it in. And around the edges of the insert there are more small burs that can't really be felt, but can be seen. So cosmetically it's got some imperfections, which isn't shocking give the material being wood, but you would hope with modern manufacturing we could manage a little better.

From a want to a necessity
I bought this originally for the aesthetics and thought it was cool, little did I know that I would prefer the ergonomics more than the looks. I have been using it daily and I thoroughly enjoy the experience paired with a Keychron keyboard. I highly recommend for anyone who needs a wrist/palm rest to get their hands in the perfect position for precision and more comfortable typing.
