Meets expectations, great for its cost, just treat it nicely and use it correctly!
For the cost, this is a wonderful machine. We had a cheap little version that takes forever to make a paltry amount of cotton candy I got from a garage sale years ago for almost nothing. Found out the kids really liked it, and so I started looking into bigger machines. I was aiming for a 110/120V machine that could produce cotton candy faster than my 9 kids could eat it, but when I started looking they were all very, very expensive. I started checking out Alibaba and other overseas resources, and even if shipping had been free they wouldn't have been cheap enough for me.Through that, though, I got a lot of information about cotton candy machine production, different machine styles, and what is reasonable in that size range, defined by the power available. This machine is now at the price range where it made sense for me, and we had a halloween party coming up, so I pulled the trigger and bought one.It works great given the price! I rate it five stars because it perfectly meets my needs, but don't take that as a recommendation for everyone. It's a standard copy of a copy of a copy of a design produce en masse across the ocean. They have cut corners as much as they can and still meet the basic needs of 2 cones a minute or more.- It doesn't have great temperature control, and if run continuously for too long you'll start seeing smoke from the sugar. If you keep running sugar through it, it's fine up to a point, but even then it eventually overheats and needs to cool off for a few minutes.- It does produce a cone every 30 seconds- It comes with extra fuses and belts. After 10 hours of usage we haven't had to replace anything.- It's easy to clean. Turn off the heater, wait a minute, then pour hot water into the center while it's spinning. The water creates a huge amount of steam, so be careful, but it also shoots hot water into the pan, which preforms a lot of cleaning action for the pan. I usually run 2 cups of water through it after use, and then take the pan to the sink and rinse it out, but by then the sugar's already dissolved and there's little else to do. I worry I'll eventually stress the head too much with the heat/cold shock of the water, but that's a risk I'm willing to take. You might want to wait for it to cool off more.- This model has fins that blow the floss upward, so it doesn't collect in the pan. The pan catches larger crystals and jets of sugar. So all the cotton candy/floss is collected above the center of the machine (twirl quickly!), not in the pan. If you plan to bag floss and want it to collect in the pan I suspect you can remove the fins, but I haven't tried and you should probably look for a different machine.- It's a large machine, and while everything came fairly well balanced it still vibrates a bit, so make sure it's on a sturdy surface. I didn't buy the stand, and I'm glad I didn't because it would have taken up too much storage space.- Be prepared to deal with a sticky ceiling or getting sugar on anything overhead. It shoots floss upward, and even with perfect twirling you'll get some floss that continues upward. Outdoor usage is fine. I haven't tried the cover, and probably won't consider it - again, lots of storage space required - but it sounds like others have success with it and if youre primary usage is indoors I'd recommend it, or at least suspending some plexiglass above the machine while in operation.- I've had teenagers and children as young at 10 spin their own cones (with children only under supervision). It's not hard, and they find it fun. HOWEVER THIS IS A DANGEROUS MACHINE. It will provide INSTANT 3rd degree burns if your skin comes into contact with the center wheel. Do NOT leave it unattended until it has completely cooled, which can take some time. Turn the heater off but leave the motor on and the fins will cool it faster while spinning.- The drawer isn't bad, but honestly I would have rather had a smaller overall box and just a little slot for the scoop, keeping the extra pieces in the box. The drawer isn't big enough for much sugar, and it would be annoying to try to clean out sugar before packing it up so I only store the cord, scoop, and extra pieces in it. I'd rather have a smaller machine, but it seems every design has this same drawer.Update: 6 years later and it's still working well, and we haven't had to use the replacement belt or fuses it included. For our needs it's light use - several times a year - so don't take that as a sign of durability for commercial operations, but it was worth it then and it's worth it now.

So worth it! Buy it! ❤️
I have use my matching successfully 4 times, taking Into consideration I’ve never ever had handled anything of the sort. Super simple to use, just follow the directions of the manual. First time I used it at a fundraiser, the machine paid for its self. We sold each cotton candy for $2. So we sold a bit of 100 of them in a 2-3 window. Machine performed wonderfully and the only reason we stopped was basically because we ran out of product.Cleaning was a breeze! I seriously thought I was going to have such a hard time wiping off the dry sugar that collects but nope, warm water and dish soap took it off right away. The only draw back is that this product does not come with a dome. Do expect sugar to fly off if you do not want to fork out an extra $100. It really wasn’t a deal breaker for me because I always used a plastic cover over the table that I set up at and that helped a lot with cleaning.

Great quality cotton candy machine!
This is a great cotton candy machine! It makes cotton candy very very fast, and the build quality is great.OUTPUT:The cotton candy machine is very fast at making cotton candy. It takes 30 - 40 seconds to make a large cone (1 scoop of a flossugar) with the machine heated for 4 minutes. Gold Medal flossugar was used.BUBBLE:I don't see the need to get a bubble for this machine. Also, when you use a bubble - you limit the size.CLEANING:Cleaning this machine is easy. Getting the burnt sugar off the flosshead is a real chore, though. Use vinegar + water.Anyway, it is a very good commercial quality machine.

Life of the party!
It's an impressive unit that's also easy to use and clean. It comes with detailed instructions as well as warning and caution illustrations on the unit. There's a storage drawer and 3 slots for the cones. It was a hit, and can be used indoors and out. The dome isn't included, but you can find it here on Amazon, and I would recommend that as well.

Still working!
I have never owned a cotton candy before. I was happy when I purchased the machine. I have used it 7 times now since summer. I had to clean it after each used. Burned sugar is not very pretty and hard to remove. Plus it will keep the machine running smooth. So far I don't have any problem yet. I hope this will last for a long time.

Easy to use
Purchased for out granddaughters birthday party and very pleased. All the kids loved it. Easy to use and works great. We did not purchase the dome with the cart but did order after once seeing it would be needed especially outdoors.

Didn't work right from the start. Too slow.
The media could not be loaded. I used it for selling cotton candy at events, and it's always been really slow. Takes 3.5 minutes to make 1 small cone. I think the reason its slow is becauseit's not heating up enough. The problem with a super slow machine is that if you have a line of customers, some will not wait, so you lose some sales. I had never had another cotton candy machine so I thought they were all slow, until I bought a 2nd machine this year, a Vivo brand, and it makes a nice large cone in about 45 seconds! The warranty on the pink midway machine is only 90 days! So they won't send me a replacement part, even though it didn't work from the start. But on the Vivo, the warranty is a whole year! I sure I'd gotten a Vivo right from the start.
