I read other people's reviews about how happy they have been with the product but unfortunately it hasn't worked well for me. My hair has greyed mostly near the roots and on the sides of the head and even after one week of applying it daily, it has not changed the grey hair entirely.I also find that it stains the bathroom much easier than other similar products. My shower curtain is already full of spots, God knows how it reached there - thankfully it's an old curtain and I've been meaning to replace it ;-)Finally, all these warnings in the instructions tell me that this is potentially more dangerous than other similar products.I may continue using it until I run out but I doubt I'll buy it again.

Wonderful product that actually does what it says it will do, very easy to use, would recommend to any guy looking to help prevent the signs of maturity showing too quickly, but seriously it does work and you wont regret trying it.

In the past 6 months or so a further reformulation of the product has clearly happened. Tried 3 times from different retailers including amazon and all the same. Colour doesn't adhere to hair, washes out very easily, doesn't really seem to make much difference at all to level of grey and just perhaps make brown hairs a bit darker. Can use for 5 mins a time for a week or two and no real difference. Product appears different to previous, now just a very light beige colour out of the tube. Still stains the shower though.Previously used the light shades formula for around 1 year to the end of 2021 was very satisfied with results. Within a few washes noticeable gradual difference to level of greys, nice brown shade achieved and then could maintain washing it through 1-2 times a week. Not sure why the light shades was discontinued.They then for some unknown reason started tinkering with what was a well liked product. Initially many received a product around start of 2022 that gave orange hair. Product was then reformulated towards something similarish to old soon after this and then has clearly changed again in past 6 months as described above.More people should leave reviews to get JFM's attention, a once great product now a complete waste of time and money! Seem to have made it completely underpowered in attempt to get you to buy more?Bring back the pre 2022 version.

Having started going grey in my 20s I’ve used every product out there. I settled on Control gx a few years ago, liking the fact that it builds up so there was no quick change for work colleagues to comment on.The old formula would provide my desired 90% coverage after 4 washes and a bottle would last me a year. The new formula took 6 or 7 goes to get about 80% coverage and I’ve decided to stop.I’ve noticed the new one leaving brown marks / drips much more obviously in the shower and on the floor too, a few hours after rinsing. As long as the product wasn’t neat on the surface and has been rinsed thoroughly straight after your shower, these drips and marks just wipe away, but it’s a bit frustrating compared to the old which didn’t seem to do this. The clean up goes on for a few days, with staining appearing once puddles and drips dry.Unlike the old one I’m finding stains on towels much more likely, so use a dark colour towel and dry thoroughly. Any drips will likely be brown a few hours later, so watch your bedroom carpet!Overall it’s good and manageable once you’re learned the tricks. No orange hair for me or brown fingernails (use your palms).
