Works great, installation tips
I got this for my LG WM8100HVA washer, same story as everyone else. Drain pump quit after a few years. I replaced it last night and wanted to share some tips that will help others.1) don’t take the whole washer apart, just tilt it back or lay it on its back to access the drain pump from underneath (drain the pump assembly before doing this, using the hose by the filter)2) all you need is a Phillips head screwdriver or #2 bit on an impact driver, some channel locks to undo the water lines and the clamps that go to the drain pump assembly, a decent flashlight, and maybe a small pry bar or flathead screwdriver3) remove the filter, and the fascia covering the drain pump (2 screws), then remove the screw underneath the drain pump, another one on the back side, and one on the front side that goes through the metal bracket. I used a pry bar to lift the bracket up to access the screw.4) make a note of which color wire goes where. The drain pump is on the left side if you’re looking at the front of the washer. There is another wired part on the right side but I didn’t have to mess with it.5) the drain pump assembly comes out, you undo the hose clamps and remove the hoses, remove 3 screws holding the drain pump to the assembly. Put the o ring on the new one and install it. Reverse everything above. This can be done in 10-15 minutes, it’s not that bad. Definitely could have been made easier to access by LG but it’s doable. As far as this pump goes, I won’t know how much better it is than the OEM pump for a few years. But it looked identical and installed without any issues. No leaks and the washer has been used at least 5 times today without any issues. I’m very happy with the purchase and glad this pump is available so I didn’t have to put the OEM one back in, which is known to be junk. Excellent value, performance is as-expected so far, noise is as-expected. But it’s less expensive and supposedly better quality so that’s a win-win for me.

LG Washers….
Let me guess, you own a LG washer and the drain pump went out. At this point it’s almost comical that LG has continued to sell its front load washers with this defective drain pump (class action lawsuit anyone) for years.Alright so real truth, I’ve owned my LG front load washer since new, bought in 2016. I’ve had to replace the drain pump 4 or 5 times now…for sure 4 times, but pretty sure it’s been 5 times now. So by doing the math, the pumps last for about 1.3 years on average. For reference, I replaced the drain pump for the 3rd of 4th time in January 2023 (bought on Amazon) and the pump has already failed in August 2023!!!—-END of RANT—-The part you’re about to buy is an aftermarket drain pump, but hear me out. The OE pump manufactured by Askoll is complete junk. All the previous pumps I bought we OE Askoll pumps and every single one of them died a pathetic, grumbly death. I’m glad that there are now aftermarket options instead of the guaranteed defective OE Askoll pump. For anyone familiar with the automotive world, it’s not uncommon to see OE parts have a design flaw or defect, but the manufacturer never updates the part to correct the defect. That’s where aftermarket parts come in and promise a solution to the OE problem. I’m hoping that this aftermarket drain pump has corrected the flaws of the OE pump. This aftermarket pump is plug and play, you won’t have any fitment issues. Since it’s after marketer you will notice subtle differences in the exterior of the pump. Also, the heat shields for the AC motor are thinner. However, this doesnt phase me. The OE part is absolutely GARBAGE so I have hopes that the aftermarket world has improved on the OEM garbage design.

Bought 2 pumps, both broke exactly the same
April 2023: Washer wasn't pumping. This pump was the cheapest, looks the same in the pictures as the other sellers. Bought this pump from Solemart. Installed, worked great.February 2024: Washer wasn't pumping. Took the pump out, the brass/copper whatever metal on the shaft that connects to the impeller had broke. No sign of blockage, no damage to the plastic impeller. I figure shoot, there will be 1 in a bunch that break, bad luck me. For the price I just go ahead and order another one. Ordered the 2nd one from same vendor (Solemart) as they are still the cheapest.November 2025: Guess what, washer isn't pumping. Pull the pump out, it has broken exactly the same as the first replacement. See pictures. No sign of blockage, filter is clean, no damage to the plastic impeller.---Fool me once...

Works well. Only lasts about 3 years.
Bought this in 2023 for my LG front load washer after the oem pump went after 3 or 4 years. This pump has seen 2-3 wash cycles a day and its lasted about 3 years give or take. Not bad for 20.00.Wish it lasted longer because the repair is back breaking work when working in small spaces but overall a good buy.
