It works as intended—I needed it to connect my MacBook to dual monitors for work. Setup was a bit tricky at first since I didn’t have the right HDMI cables; it requires a mini HDMI, and I originally had the standard size. Once I got the correct cable and everything plugged in, the screens displayed perfectly using the DisplayLink software. The only downside is that there’s no audio output through the monitors, so Zoom calls and Slack notifications are silent even with my bluetooth headset on. I tried troubleshooting but couldn’t find a fix, so that’s something to be aware of.

I have an older laptop without a USB C port. This works well and allows me to dock my laptop and use a bigger screen, keyboard and mouse. I really like it and no problems setting it up. I did download the drivers for it before using it.

Not realizing that it was the same company that I had bought a dock from over a year ago, I’ve had similar issues getting it to work with my Mac mini m1 and new Mac Studio. Lost power and spent 5 minutes disconnecting and reconnecting to get it working. Not acceptable. Returning it before I get stuck with it.

This was my FOURTH attempt at a docking station that would drive a couple external monitors. Every one I tried required the USB-C Alt mode enabled port, which evidently I don't have on my new Lenovo laptop. This one, however, comes with a very prominent note in the packaging to download and install the display drivers from Synaptics. Very simple and fast download on my laptop, plugged in the two monitors to the HDMI ports and voila... worked perfectly out of the box. I recommend don't go anywhere else and waste time like I did, this works beautifully.

This docking station is perfect! it came with an additional plug for my apple devices that use the c-cord., so happy it did bc i complelte forgot about that port on my macbook and ipad! Works like a charm
