Beats fish tape…
Completely unexpected how great this thing works.I was hiding speaker wire in the wall and this thing made quick work of it. Comes in a nice case as well.

Magnet stronger than expected
The media could not be loaded. I read the description and the reviews. Reviews were either good or bad. Not much in between. I’m assuming the bad reviews were folks who needed 1 use, succeeded and, and then returned it and needed a reason to return in. I found it very useful - cord is strong enough to pull 12/3. Only roughly 20 feet, but plenty long for my needs. I was quite surprised by the magnet strength. To say it’s a weak magnet - one must be trying to work through cinder block. For snaking wire inside drywall construction - my opinion is that it works great. It’s a keeper for me.

Great Concept but has limitations
So I was super excited for these and it works great the first few times. Then ran into newer construction buildings that has some or all metal studs. Useless when you have any metal studs or door frames. Magnetic will adhere to that more then other part of tool. Great quality and helps speed up job. Just not for every job.

Pleasently Surprised
I needed to run a power cable and hdmi cord thru an insulated wall. I tried using wire hangers, a fish pole, etc and had no success. I bought this hoping it would work and I was pleasantly surprised that if you move slow and steady, the magnets are strong enough to pull the cable down an insulated wall. Its fairly expensive but no more than some other kits at the big box stores. This one is a keeper for me

Wow, this is an amazing tool
It’s easy to use, works exceptionally well in every related task I put it through. Saved me time and eliminated frustration. One thing I noticed that could be improved, but you can remedy it yourself if the manufacturer doesn’t is the following:When working with projects with delicate exterior surface, the magnet could leave black markings. I remedy it by applying a small patch of masking tape on the magnet to eliminate/reduce the possibility of scratches or undesired markings.. you may come up with a better solution but this worked well. The product is solid and well made.. the excellent storage box stores well and keep it organized and ready for future difficult projects.

Very strong magnets but-
Nice product! Great packaging, very strong magnets! But had to return. The screws with eyelets will not fit into the magnets at all. Sadly will have to look for another product. Hated to have to return. Bought as gift but unusable.

Magnet nice and strong
I had to run some speaker wire in a wall with fiberglass insulation and a normal metal fish tape doesn't work well. Metal fish tape cause the insulation to bunch up and can't get it through to my other hole. So I remember an electrician that worked ony kitchen had a little metal piece tied to a string and he used so I decided to search on Amazon for something. Found this magnetic fish tape and didn't think it would be strong enough but figured I would try it. It uses a very strong magnet and has two different size ends that is tied to the string and goes behind the wall. I found the larger diameter but flatter one worked better for the wall with insulation. This made a horrible job much easier. I have used it 6 times now and it worked every time. I used it for speaker wire and also a thermostat wire that is used for low voltage lights under my kitchen cabinets.
