Great reference
Lots of great info. Will keep for reference. Glad I studied it, but did not suffice as exam prep for PMP.

Passed on the first try!
This book was great for studying alongside the PMBOK which is very dry and lacks context. This book really helped to understand the concepts and highlighted key areas that were most important to know. Studying for the PMP can be challenging with a ton of dense information to learn and not knowing where to start but this book was super helpful. I passed the exam on my first try. I took the exam in 2024 so I studied the 6th and 7th editions of the PMBOK. This book was most helpful for the 6th edition which is still highly relevant for the exam.

Great alternative to reading the PMBOK and passed the exam on my first try
I bought this book as an alternative in place of reading the PMBOK which I've heard is really dry and hard to comprehend if you're learning the concepts. I feel the way Velociteach laid out this book was intuitive and a pretty easy read overall. I did purchase both the PMBOK and Agile Practice guides but did not crack them open once.My plan was to read this book once through without taking any notes and with a goal of reading at least 30-60 minutes per day. After I completed the first read through, I started over again from the beginning and re-read a second time. I also scheduled my PMP boot camp class to align with finishing the second read which made me feel like I had a good grasp on the overall concepts without much memorization.During my boot camp (not Velociteach), I was able to see the same material but in a different format which I thought was helpful although Velociteach also offers a boot camp which aligns with this book perfectly and may be a good choiceThe week after attending my class, I worked on memorization and really understanding some of the points I found more difficult to grasp. I came to the realization that I was not sure how much more I could study or what I should study so I went ahead and scheduled my exam. All in, it took me four months between reading, the boot camp, and one week of hardcore studying 3-4 hours per day. I was really worried about failing the exam but figured I'd give it a shot and worst case I'd just take it again. I ended up passing above target on all three domains and I don't say that to brag. I'm telling you because if you've seen the material enough times, taken a couple of time mock exams, and are dedicated to putting in the time you can do this too.Good luck!

Can't complain... Passed on my first try
This study guide was fine and had some great information but alot of my test questions did not compare well to the book material. Where this book was successful was in providing tips about how to approach the questions, what answers may be traps, and how to efficiently move through the questions.

Phenomenal book - I passed the PMP on first try
Studying for the PMP is a beastly exercise in learning. I read the PMBOK cover to cover and still felt like I knew little. I took a SimpliLearn course (not recommended) and I took practice exams for free online. I read articles on topics I knew little about and tried to learn it all on my own.None of that prepared me as well for the exam as this terrific book! I read it through three times and took the exam and practice quizzes multiple times. I looked up things I was still unclear on on the Internet. But you won't be left scratching your head on much after this book. The author does a phenomenal job of saying the same things over and over, without it getting boring (no small feat). And he also adds new material in every sentence and paragraph as well, making 99% of this book a must read. As another reviewer already said (and why I bought this book) - read this book through three times, do the practice exams and quizzes and concentrate on the day of your exam and you will have a great chance to passing it!

Great summary and review book!
Great Review Book in addition to the PMBOKNote: Never rely on any single book for a major exam or resource.By itself, this book Filters through a lot of the information in the PMBOK and breaks it down in phases to make is more understandable, especially if one is less experienced in project management. However, if you are planning to test for the PMP, please also use resources such as the PMBOK to solidify your understanding and translation of the project processes and phases as they can vary from book to book. There were a few editorial mistakes, such as misspelled words but overall the layout and flow of the book is well constructed. If you do use this book, read a chapter, listen to the accompanied video recordings by the author and take a small break in between chapters to let your brain store the information properly. If you are in a hurry to cram, I have found that you can comfortably read about 30-40 pages a day to finish the book in a few weeks and take the test if need to be. But I advise to give some time to properly study as the exam is pricey and one has limited tries before a mandatory pause until the next exam try.

Much needed boost
I bought the book after around ten years of having taken the PMI courses (with version 4 or 5). I had taken a bunch of courses for PMP 2021 in Percipio and listened to videos (like Ricardo Vargas) on YouTube. But, I was failing the practice exams I was taking.I basically crammed reading the 14 first chapters and the exercises and quizzes in these chapters. I also watched all of the videos. I wasn't able to take the final exam, nor the electronic test exams online prior to my exam date. The end result: I passed the test on my first try! I don't want to brag, but I scored "Above Target" on each of the three test areas. I do attribute much of that success to the tips, tricks and general mindset I got from this book.
