TAURINE, an under-rated but much needed supplement !
Good value, nice 1,000 mg potency. I take one or two daily, good for what ails ya ! Along with other supplements, since I've been taking Taurine, my eye sight has noticeably improved. Taurine is involved in transporting fat to where it needs to be in the body. The cones of the retina have some of the highest concentrations of fat in the human body, deficiency of healthy fats and Taurine can lead to eye damage, supplement with Taurine and take Zinc and fat soluble vit A and never worry about your eyes again !

helps me relax
i take this with L- Theanine to relax before bedtime, as i have an overactive adrenal gland, and have trouble getting to sleep. these work well, and don’t have any weird taste or smell, they are a little big, but it’s a high dose, and these probably don’t have much filler. price is very competitive.

Unexpected Benefits
I bought these after reading about the many benefits of Taurine. There are claims that Taurine can improve heart health, reduce oxidation, improve exercise performance, support the nervous system and much more. There are even studies that show anti aging effects and increased lifespan in mice. All of this got my attention, so I thought I’d give it a try. I’ve been taking it for a while now and I’m not sure if it’s actually providing all of those benefits. I hope so. But what I can say, is that I’ve had an unexpected benefit. I’ve been plagued with Tinnitus for years now. I’ve had a constant, high pitched ring in my ear. It’s a terrible thing and I hope none of you ever have to experience it. However, about 1-2 weeks after starting Taurine, the ring practically went away. I can’t tell you how happy this made me. It’s still technically there sometimes, but not even close to the intensity that I had to deal with over the past few years. Often, I don’t hear it at all. I had tried everything to remedy this problem and had given up hope, long ago. The only thing that changed in my life was the addition of Taurine to my supplement routine. I can’t say for certain that the Taurine helped this. But I don’t think it spontaneously fixed itself. As far as the pills, they are not too big and easy to swallow. You get a lot of them for the money too. I have had no adverse side effects at all. If you are on the fence, I’d say give it a try. In my humble opinion, it has helped me.

WEIGHT LOSS PILLS
(okay, that's a sensationalist title, let me back up)Taurine supplementation is currently in the zeitgeist of the anti-aging podcast space, so I thought I'd try it for funsies. Sometimes when you try a new supplement you get dramatic returns, sometimes you don't. I don't really want to try to explain the science here in this review, but Dan Pardi's podcast (HumanOS Radio) has a good interview with one of the authors of the mouse study that is making everyone crazy about Taurine. Mostly, I'm writing this review to communicate my experience with Taurine supplementation.I'm a vegan, and I eat almost exclusively whole foods. However, despite doing everything "right", I still feel fat and lethargic. What gives? So, this came in the mail last night, I put ten-ish capsules (10g total) into me, and... I couldn't stop dancing through my apartment. Apparently I've been Taurine deficient as a vegan. I tell you, I feel ten years younger. I'm only 30 at the time of this writing.Taurine is an amino acid made by animals not plants; humans can make their own Taurine, but they get worse at it over time. One of the recurring themes of anti-aging protocols is to prop up the body by feeding it exogenously what it used to make on its own. This is the philosophy with Glutathione precursors (NAC and Glycine in equal parts) -- you give the body immediate precursors that make it easier to reach youthful levels.Regarding dosing, when you cycle onto a new nutrient, you generally want to supplement at a mega-dose level for a while to fix a deficiency. My long-term plan is to use a maintenance dose of 3g/day, but I might add extra for the first week or two of supplementation.Your mileage may vary. Everybody is at a different spot in their health journey, with different problems to tackle. This helped me a lot, but you may not experience the same benefits.
