Alaska Ulu Knife and Chopping Bowl Set

the knife i like for its design and easy use by old man..goes well with custom board..on the small side but portable and very functional for a one person setup...also knife works well for cutting various food in larger wooden bowl with higher sides...very useful and tough for those living in remote areas recommended

I bought this for a gift so I don't really know much about it except that it had the "bowl" cutting board that not all Ulu's have. It looks sturdy and very sharp. I would recommend it!

This are one of the best kitchen helps out there! I received one as a souvenir gift from an Alaskan cruise. It is one of the handiest things I've ever used! The knife is extremely sharp. The recessed bowl center is wonderful to hold in all the things you're chopping. It makes chopping anything very quick and easy. After seeing me use mine, my mom asked if I could get her one. I was thrilled when I found this one on Amazon. It looks very well made and just like the one I already had. So, I know she'll be pleased with it. These things just can't be beat!

I know most people purchase the item as a display piece. But I use mine. I live in Texas and it is really handy when cleaning game and the chopping board is concave enough that you can really chop fresh herbs. But if you only want to display it, it does have the Alaskan flag that is laser etched (I think, it is definitely not painted). It stays sharp even while cleaning deer. It chops vegetables with ease. My wife likes that it fits in the drawer neatly and is easy to clean and maintain.

KNIFE HAS VERY SMALL HANDLE. ONLY GET THREE FINGERS THRU. HANDLE HAS SHARP EDGES, HOLDING AND CUTTING UNCOMFORTABLE. CUTTING BOARD NICE AND KNIFE DOES CUT.
