Intel XEON E5, V4 series CPU
For future reference, if one is going to use the newer V4 CPU, then all the power connectors must be attached to the power supply and mother board. The V4 requires the extra juice. Of course, the manual does not cover the V4, and I had no idea, all tested and works great. See attached. Thanks again.

Great value
I upgraded my 2680v3's to these, and I love the functionality improvements. Very stable, Used the same cooling system as before with no issue. Pound for pound, these are the best value LGA-2011-3 socks that I have had for the money. Installation is the same as with any other LGA-2011-3, plug them in, add thermal paste, coolers, good to go. Stable and reliable.

This is the hidden gold
So I got two of these to go in my hp z640. 256gb of ram, and a 3080. Refurbished? Buy the warranty and then WHO CARES if it's refurbished. They work perfectly. I ran benchmarks with cinebemch and blew away the competition. I can play any game at max settings, but more importantly I can do music production with cubase or studio one without a single problem. It has never crashed, and I can do like 15 things at once with no problem. Seriously, get a couple of these and some ram and you'll have STABILITY and POWER. Also, buy the warranty. Don't be cheap. I get the warranty on everything I buy from Amazon and I don't have to worry about anything.

Excelente procesador Calidad/Precio

Great CPU
Got it paired with 3060 12GB. Kinda wondering if it would bottle neck a 3090

Work perfect even as renewed; just buy it if this is your concern!
I was hesitant because it was pricey and not new. However it works perfect as it should. Best bang for my buck for the most amount of cores. You cant get this much (yet) at this price. Intel® Core i9-12900 has 16 cores for a little over $600. Yes that's not a Xeon but anyway if core count is what you are after this is it; has 6 more cores and is in the same price range. I got this to put together the smallest and quietest server I could build. Got ESXI on there with some VMs and works great with 128GB of RAM in a SFF case with a Supermicro motherboard.

Great CPU in Win 10. Not for Gaming - Using this processor has a limited life in Win 11 & security.
Using this processor has a limited life due to security updates in Win 11. If you can stick with 10 and need to render and ray trace with CPU cores the E5 2699 rocks. Great for the next 2 years if you have a 2011-3 board and want to hold off on a new build.
