Better than a Bissell!
This Hoover powerdash is lot better than the Bissell Crosswave. The suction is better because it has a rubber edge that touches the floor, it has more water output for better scrubbing, and it works better on tile. I added a little vinegar to my cleaner for an elderly cat issue and it worked wonderfully. I took a pic of what’s I used and the size of the canister. The cleaner canister is 1/2 the size of the dirty water canister. As you can see from the pic of the assembled canisters, my floors were disgusting, and I had been using a Bissell Crosswave. The picture shows a full canister of dirty water to the rear with about 1/3 clean water in the front. Also, it automatically stops when the dirty water is full, like the Bissell, so you know when to empty it. I could fill my old cleaner twice before emptying the dirty water in my Bissell because it didn’t pick up as much water. Also, I didn’t vacuum first and it didn’t clog once. I had to unclog my Bissell at least three times every time I did my floors, even with vacuuming first! It was awful! Also, the Bissell has a cloth roller that stays wet and gets smelly. The Hoover has plastic scrubbers that are turn circles horizontally on the floor instead of rotating like a rolling pin, so it scrubbed better and dried fast so it’s never smelly. It took three washes to get all the dirt out of the grout on my floor, but it’s only tea colored dirty water when I use it now. The first time it was like coffee, the second time it was like coffee, the this time it was hardly dirty at all, but I wanted to be sure I got all the dirt. Today when I cleaned the entire house, it was like tea, and I can wear white socks and they stay clean. I couldn’t do that with my Bissell. I’m glad I made the change to Hoover. It is heavier than the Bissell, and my hand got a little tired from holding the cleaner release lever. I’ll probably clamp it shut with a Velcro strip in the future. Overall, I’m very happy! I spent a lot less on my Hoover and it’s a much better product!

Wow, what a disappointment!
I was very excited to order this and try it out. First problem: It came out of the box broken! Design SUCKS and product quality could improve 10 fold. HOOVER-I'm talking to you here-The upper portion of the vacuum is sturdy and heavy, which I like! It seems like a quality household cleaning tool. The bottom end is made from frail, brittle plastic that clearly has NO DURABILITY WHATSOEVER. Given that the edges of the plastic were broken into pieces when I pulled it out of the box.Upon my first use, things were working pretty well. I was impressed at how well it seemed to clean my slate stone floor. This is probably the hardest floor EVER to clean, and I thought I could accept all the design issues if it at least did a good job cleaning my difficult-to-clean floor. It picked up about 1/3 of the water it laid down, so I had to dry my floor with an old bath towel. Fine. Job ended with a satisfactory clean floor.Well, then came the deal breaker. I refilled the clean water canister and set my 8 year-old to the task of cleaning the dining room floor. This one is MUCH easier, given that it is a smooth vinyl plank floor. He was successful at cleaning about 25% of the floor, but all of a sudden the water would not flow. No FLOW. Why? I still don't know. It certainly had plenty of water in the clean water tank. And the dirty water tank was showing even LESS collected than before. So it wasn't an issue with the tanks. I spent about 2 hours on hold with Hoover while simultaneously trying to get help from their online chat-bot. I did all the things they recommend to "trouble shoot" a NO FLOW situation: check the tanks are installed properly, check the handle is installed properly, ensure water is in the tank. NO DICE. At the end of the 2 hour ordeal, I finally was transferred to a human being, whose first recommendation was that I fill the clean water tank! "Lady, do you honestly think I've been trying to run it with no water in it?" By then I was out of time... If I have a brand-new out-of-the-box product that A) is broken when I get it, B) seems frail and poorly made from the onset, and C) doesn't perform it's basic function within 24 hours of being placed into service... Well, Hoover! You lost me on this one, pal! Back to the drawing board!I would LOVE to invest in a good quality automatic mopping machine that can clean my stone kitchen floor... but this is NOT it.

The BEST Hoover hard floor cleaner yet
I have used the last three models of the Hoover hard floor cleaner and I can say absolutely that this is the best model they have put out. I always use the Hoover hard floor cleaners because they get my floor the most clean and because they are the best at getting all of my dog hair off the floor. That hasn't changed. Here is what I like better about the new model. First, it is taller by several inches. I am 5 foot 9 inches and I was always hunched over to use the previous models. I loved how tall this model is and the large handle to hold. It was just so much more comfortable to stand and use. I also like the lever you push to squirt out the water. I always got calluses on my finger using the lever on previous models. Every Saturday when I cleaned my floors I would get a blister on my finger. But this one is so much easier to push and to use. Love it. Also, I like the power button on this model. Simply easier to turn on and off and at a much higher level so I don't have to hunch over to push it (usually several times on previous models.) This model also got under my kitchen bench much farther because it was able to angle closer to the floor. In short, this model is better for taller people like me, it is more comfortable to use all the way around, and it gets under low objects much better. I actually also like the filter system it uses to clean better too. I felt like it got water off the floor better. And the parts were all much easier to get cleaned at the end when I was rinsing everything out. Part of that is they changed how they filter the dirty water so the big yellow filter is gone which made cleaning the parts much harder before. I am so happy to have this new machine and definitely recommend it.
