The pad features a laminated front side for a realistic feel, while the backside is much quieter, making it perfect for practice sessions.Although it is a bit heavy—I'm not sure of the exact weight—it’s great for placing on a stand. With a diameter of about 14 inches, it mimics the feel of a regular marching snare. While I would recommend it primarily for marching band, it can certainly be used for drumset practice as well—whatever suits your style!I LOVE THIS PRACTICE PAD! My son asked for one of these for Christmas as it was very popular with his drumline friends. He is constantly practicing on it and I have yet to notice any wear and tear. Very durable and the sound coming from it is good. It's quieter than his marching snare so that's a huge positive in our house.

Best pad I own. Only reason I dropped to 4 stars is because the pretty carbon laminate came off immediately and doesn’t stick now. It’s supposed to be removable, but it’s also supposed to stick back on. I removed it once and now it just falls off, no adhesion whatsoever. Still, a great pad without the laminate, so I don’t mind terribly.

The media could not be loaded. This pad is worth the money. The weight of it feels like you got your moneys worth. It’s a big pad too. The sound is amazing. The feel is what you would expect if you’re looking for a pad to practice marching snare stuff. The chameleon laminate adds some flare to it. Now if you're looking for something to practice with, and you primarily play drum se. This may not be the one for you, but for me, a pad is a pad. It’s worth it. Buy it.

The media could not be loaded. Very articulate, and on the noisy side. The laminate produces a feel reminiscent of a marching snare with a Kevlar head, but the regular invader without the laminate is the most realistic feel. Very good value.

Purchased for marching season. Love the feel of the top pad. It comes with a replacement center sticker if it goes bad as well. The underside material padding is not so silent but is passable for a more quiet practice.
