The Honshu Boshin Damascus Katana fuses tradition and innovation to yield a masterwork of modern sword design. The katana has a 30 3/8” Damascus steel blade that’s been folded more than 800 times, making it unrivaled in sharpness and strength. Trading traditional trappings for sleek contemporary style, the cutting edge Boshin is an undeniably modern weapon. Textured TPR shrouds the handle for an ergonomic no-slip grip and the handle is crowned with an oversized polished steel pommel. The guard snubs fanciful ornamentation in favor of a practical pointed ellipse design. In keeping with the Boshin katana’s clean, functional motif, the scabbard is wooden with a semi-gloss black finish and features black faux leather wrapping and cotton cord. Wielding the Honshu Boshin Damascus Katana is almost Zen-like - you just have to experience it for yourself!

Great look, bad build
Liked - Beautiful blade and handle feels good. Overall it fits great and weight is appropriate for the type of use designed.Disliked - Handle had a slight wobble to it. Being a sword enthusiast I've worked on several blades so figured I'd just take it apart and tighten it up as a fun afternoon project. Threads on the pommel had been stripped and someone thought it would be okay to just use glue, and a lot of it. Sadly, it is no longer an afternoon project.Overall - Very unhappy. Even at this price, not worth it.

Could be better with little adjustments
I like the design of the sword but it is a thick sword. If you are looking for a tough sword I would say this is it. That being said it’s not a fast or accurate sword for two reasons. One is the weight and two is the handle. Most katanas I’ve seen or owned the handles have enough length for 3 hand positions. This one has 2 1/2. That there is the reason why this sword feels so heavy. If they made the handle longer I would recommend this sword. But I’ve not seen a katana built this thick and durable so if you want a rough katana to beat up and have fun with then this is for you. The blade is real Damascus. You can tell it has only been folded maybe 4 or 5 times. Which I guess is ok for 200$. Wish it was done a little more. Handle is pretty grippy but would be slick if wet. It’s not a soft handle it’s a hard rubbery handle. The sheath is great. It holds the blade really well and feels sturdy. It’s got a plastic coating on it and it’s not going to scuff near as bad as a fancy one you get with a traditional katana. All and all I give it a 4 star just because of the handle needing to be longer and the Damascus not really being the best.

Worth the money for the blade
Honestly the only complaint is the molded tpu handle the one I received was a bit loose but I was able to eliminate the movement with a custom paracord wrap. I tested the blade strength on a pine 4x4 piece of lumber and it cut it in half and didn’t mar the blade. So the blade quantity is fairly high in my opinion

Crap!!!
Very disappointed with the craftsmanship, complete junk! Warped blade. Loose hilt and not even close to worth its price. I wouldn't buy this even to throw in the trash. Simply not worth your time or money
