Helpful and informative!
I really can’t express what a help this book has been. I purchased it on a whim after watching one of the author’s videos on YouTube that solved an issue I was having with my prints. Figured if the video solved that issue in one step without ridiculous amounts of fluff then his book would be similar. I was right and haven’t had any issue it doesn’t address, although there are probably some that I’m sure will be addressed in the next updates of this. On top of the great resource this book has been, he even will send you a pdf copy with much higher resolution pictures upon sending a proof of purchase. This is a great added value and easily makes the cost worth every penny as every issue covered is also shown in pictures. Why not just buy a pdf you might ask, to which I have a simple answer. Looking things up in an actual book is faster and , for me at least, easier on my vision. Plus, habit and books are just good for anything you need to reference. But in this case it makes no difference as you can have both for one price. I might just be more traditional though I don’t know.Basically it comes to how useful a resource is overall and how in depth things are covered. The only thing lacking in this book is the pictures and that’s questionable and more opinion anyway. I feel they are good enough and if the offer for better copies wasn’t there I would still purchase and recommend this book 100%. I only wish I had this back when I first started in my 3D printing adventure, could have saved me a lot of time searching online as well as tons of frustration. I actually gave up on this hobby for over a year due to frustration and high cost related to failed prints. The pandemic hit and I needed some more to do with my time and purchased a new printer and quickly remembered why I stopped previously. I consider myself lucky to have found out about this book before again becoming overly frustrated. I feel that the author is passionate about this subject and he quickly responded to my request for the images which really meant a lot considering the lack of help that society seems to be headed towards. Sure I could eventually solve the issues myself but my time is worth money and someone has done what I think is a better job already.I recommend this book to anyone who is having issues with their prints failing, it’s going to help even if you aren’t having noticeable issues because you will learn something from it for sure. I especially like the section that covers the science behind the materials as it will teach you what you need to start diagnosing and figuring out things yourself. I like to support things that work well for me because they should also help others. This is one for sure. Much respect and thanks for this.

Worth Every Penny
I was skeptical - I've found several great print troubleshooting guides for free online, so this seemed like a needless purchase. But somewhere I read someone recommending it, checked out the reviews, peeked inside, and was convinced enough (the Kindle version is not very costly, so not a tremendous leap there). This book is far more thorough than the online guides, and goes much deeper in resolving issues - the online guides will tell you "your extruder nozzle is too far from the bed" - this book then tells you *how* to fix that, in much greater detail ... as in "here's the g-code to fix that". It's not just great for debugging a printing issue - I, at least, learned a lot about how my printer works along the way.If it sounds like I'm gushing ... well, I got an Ender 3 Pro about 3 weeks ago; I've been struggling with first layer issues every since. I've installed all the usual upgrades - dual-gear extruder, part cooling fan ducts, belt tensioners, tlsmoothers, BLTouch, Capricorn tubing, etc. (Some of which are worth every penny, some not worth a penny, tbh).Still this issue remained. None of the photos in the guides I saw online really looked like it, and none of the descriptions quite caught it. In the book, you can see *exactly* the issue I was having under "Too far from the build plate". Really, what did the trick was the photography - I finally found a guide that had a photo of what I was seeing! The detail in the explanation of the solution was total. The problem I was struggling with for 3 weeks, using multiple (good and reputable) online troubleshooting guides was resolved in less than an hour after opening this book.Furthermore, the author offers to send, upon request, the PDF and e-pub versions of the book, along with the hi-res photos from it - it's nice to have the PDF, but the hi-res photos are invaluable. This book is an awful lot of bang for the buck, and I hope the author continues to revise it annually.

Excellent format to track down and solve problems
I had a Creality Ender 3 which I had not end of difficulty with, but after months and months, I finally got it working and printing decently. (it was a lemon, low quality control out of a Chinese factory.) But I learned enough to get it printing well. But at that point, I had already made the decision to cut my losses and purchased a higher priced more advanced 3D printer, and had issues with that, so I purchased this book. The format is great, you figure out what is wrong with your print, matching against images of prints that had the same problem, and link to a variety of printer settings, slicer settings, potential hardware causes, and even filament problem.Thing is, you can get a lot of that information on the Internet. But a lot if it is contradictory, poorly presented, and even outright wrong. As a user, it is a daunting task to comb through it.This excellent book collates reliable information in a single place, and directs you to the appropriate range of possible solutions. I have found 3D printing problematic and it will likely not be as reliable as an ink jet printer for a while, so you need a book like this, especially if you are starting out. Finding the solutions is often hard with considerable trial and error (especially for a noob like me) but this book makes it easier. One more thing-the images in the Kindle book are not high resolution, but the author not only warns you, he offers a site to download the high resolution images and tells you how to contact him. I emailed him today, he answered me in an hour or two.One of the hallmarks of a great product is great service. That little service related vignette where I requested images says "high quality".I highly recommend this book.
