Very helpful and comfortable brace
This brace helped me a lot with a sprained wrist that I just kept reinjuring. The double attachment and stretchy fabric allowed be to get a good fit, and the bend in the insert made it comfortable to wear for long periods. The insert is only on one side so isn't as restrictive but the wide shape was helpful when I wanted that extra support. The fabric is easy to wash and dries quickly. I also like the plastic/leather spot over the insert in the wrist/palm area when I had to push or hold things. The only mild criticism is that the velcro hook side attaches directly to the neoprene fabric and kind of tears it up over time, but it doesn't seem like it's going to wear out anytime soon.

AMAZING WRIST BRACE BY VIVE
REVIEWWhen I got the Wrist Brace from VIVE I was surprised. It's very nice quality. Soft and not so rigid that it hurts to wear it. Black on the outside and gray inside. Your wrist is held stable by two hooks and loop closures. One loop is by the hand and the larger one is by the wrist. You can still do your usual daily things. If you type and use a mouse, there should be no problem. The really nice thing about the brace is when it gets dirty or sweaty, you can wash it. I have seen a lot of braces that can't be washed. If you suffer from a sports injury, carpal tunnel or just a weak wrist, this wrist brace should be tried. It has helped me in my typing since I type so much and by the end of the day my wrist would normally hurt. Now, it doesn't hurt as bad. It's also good for arthritis. I have done several products for VIVE and they are very easy to work with.I received a complimentary sample of this product, VIVE WRIST BRACE for my view of the product.

cheap product, IMPECCABLE support
I upped this to 4 stars, but I still stand by my original review. However, the support for this product makes it immediately apparent that the company cares. The day after I left the review they commented on it, and after a few confirmations a full refund was issued. There was no argument or the normal back and forth, they literally apologized and gave me my money back. I cannot give the product 5-stars, the problems still exist (even though it seems I may have received a bad batch, not their fault per say, but still), but their backing of the product was impeccable!Original Review: Cheap product with a strong odor. This is why I wont give 5 starts, it is uncomfortable, the velcro parts are stitched to the neoprene, and not a REAL part of the product (but this is shown, not easily visible is the SINGLE line of stitching), smells to high heaven, and the fabric part the hooks of the velcro attach to are already fuzzing up and separating (and I have used this maybe....4 times?) I would expect this from a $2 walmart special, not a $15 item.Save yourself the problems and get a better source. However, this does have a proper alignment and is decently comfortable, even if I cannot type or use a mouse with it (but that is ANY brace).

Too hot and itchy
To prevent further wrist pain caring for my baby, I went on a hunt to find a brace/splint for my wrist and thumb. Currently I have minimal-moderate pain and am trying to take preventative measures. These are the ones I tried:Vive Carpal Tunnel Wrist Brace- Though it felt comfortable and provided maximal support, my hand began to get hot then itchy within 5-10 minutes of wearing it and just doing some light typing and chores. I returned this item.Rip Toned wrist brace- It's advertised to be used for weightlifting and bodyweight training and I think it's probably best for just that. I wanted to see if I could use it as a wrist brace while doing things around the house and lifting/holding the baby, but I didn't like the thumb loop which sometimes felt like it pulled my thumb back which I think would make texting/mommy thumb worse, but if wearing without the thumb loop, the wrist support would slide down around and not stay around the wrist. I returned this item.Wal-Mart and CVS sold several different types of wrist and/or thumb braces and I was able to try it on in store. I have only worn them a few days, but this is my review of them.FUTURO Performance Comfort Wrist Support, Adjustable- This was my favorite as a minimal-moderate support. Lightweight and not hot nor itchy for general use around the house and to wear while caring for my baby as there were no hard parts and only 1 velcro piece which didn't get stuck to anything.FUTURO™ Compression Stabilizing Wrist Brace- This one was also comfortable, but provided more support than the Performance Comfort as it has a rigid support. however, it's more expensive and a bit more inhibiting but I'm keeping it for now in case I need more wrist support when baby gets heavier.Mueller Thumb Stabilizer- This provides support in thumb and wrist which is nice, but since it has 3 velcro straps, it takes a little longer to take on/off when i want to wash my hands and some of the velcro would get stuck to baby's swaddle or bib. I was able to still pick up and hold baby with the thumb stabilizer, but I found that I would mistype on the keyboard or I would make compensations by lifting my arm up slightly to avoid hitting other keys.

Great Wrist Braces!
I have been wearing these types of wrist braces for over 35 years because I am paralyzed from the neck down. They help keep my wrist straight and keeps my hand from flopping all around. They are comfortable and can be worn all day every day. No problems yet. I've had them for about 2 months now. Great!
