Good quality and function.
Perfect for the treasure box I made for my grandson for Xmas. Not the sort of item you can easily find in the shops.

Why no screws?
Great little lock absolutely ridiculous it doesn’t come with the little screws ! Add a couple of quid on if necessary and save future customers all the bother of having to source them 🤔

Good quality
I've ordered several of these over the years. Made in England, solid brass and of good quality. Fitting them so they work seamlessly is always a chore. Install the lock so that the inside and top fit flush with the surface. Place the strike plate in the lock, lock it in place and close the lid. The tabs on the bottom of the strike plate will leave marks on lid for the strikes approximate placement.

Decent, but expected better for the price.
This functioned as expected, and I was able to incorporate it into my project, but for $30 I expected more. One of the prongs broke during installation with minimal manipulation, but I had no time to obtain a replacement and so I used it -- the lock still functioned with one prong. The lock plate was not flat, so I had to adjust the depth of my mortise in some places. Finally, it arrived with no brass screws, so I had to source these separately.

Decent quality, wrong size.
I was unable to use the lock. It is much smaller than I needed. However, it seems to be decent quality. The problem is that I did not have exact measurements for what I needed.

Screws?
Not a bad lock, but for what they get for it, would four screws to mount it be unreasonable? Not to mention a keyhole cover.

Well made chest lock
This is a good quality classic brass chest lock. British made, its a good replacement for a missing antique or for use on an antique reproduction. Be mindfull that fitting this type of lock is fussy business, it requires care and patience.
