Even though I finally got them working, I have to give this PITA product 1-star. Like others have reported I discovered that the profile of the attached key was radically different from my 2010 Equinox, and when replacing the provided key with the old key (using the old end pivot piece which is attached to the key itself) the key would not remain in the closed position, as the pivot pieces from the original do not match the detents of the provided product. To remedy this, the old key must be used with the new/provided pivot piece. The old key and the provided key can both be removed from their prospective pivot pieces by knocking out the tiny retaining pins in the pivot pieces. The old key must then be inserted into the new pivot piece, which again proved to be an issue, as every dimension of the tenon (the stub end part of the actual key that fits into the pivot piece) of my old key was different in every dimension than the provided key and would not fit into the slot on the pivot piece. I had to use a dremel tool to grind down the tenon on my old key so that it would fit into the tenon slot on the pivot piece and the pin groove on the key line up with the pin hole. There is a reason they do not show any image of the actual key in the product description and pictures as it may be radically different from your existing key, and I doubt 1 in 500 people are willing to go through the above procedure to make these fobs fully functional.

This replacement fob is perfect for my 2013 Chevy Spark. It has a better feel than the old one, looks exactly like the old one, and has the screw on back for easy opening. Must add that the pin holding the replacement key needs to be pounded out carefully, and same when putting it back in. With patience and a little tweaking it is a perfect replacement for my old fob.

Well, most of this is good and things for as they should. The only problem is the key doesn't stay closed all the way. This is due to the notches on the fob being in different locations than on the original. So the buttons all work good. You can't close there key all the way

Before ordering this key replacement, I had asked a question to make sure that the key head was removable. I was told yes it all comes apart. I assumed that meant that I could take the key head from my previous set of keys and replace it on this new fob. However, as you can see by the pictures, there is no pin to remove the key head. I was given the wrong information. Other pictures show a pin but mine does not have one, you can clearly see through the pinhole.
