Product just as decried and shipped fast

This is a good device from a legitimate electrical company from what I can tell.Install is easy. No polarity so it's painless.The programming is not the easiest thing in the world but it's not hard, you just have to understand the blinking light concept and pay attention to the pauses and blinks. It's a little confusing at first.The only thing I needed to program was the delay even though you can program a lot with this. It took me 3 days to program the delay. I googled. I YouTubed. Could not get my setting to stick. It was driving me nuts. I finally resigned myself to look at the directions for the 20th time and looked at the other settings. Voila.Here is the trick (the manufacturer should add this to the instructions as STEP ONE):In order for the delay to work, the first thing you MUST DO is change the minimum time on setting. Mine was set to 15 minutes by default. Who knew?So.. BEFORE YOU PROGRAM THE DELAY, go into the minimum on mode and change it to something LESS than the delay you want to use. I made mine ZERO because my delay is 30 seconds.After I changed the Minimum time on setting, my delay worked perfectly. No way a 30 second delay is going to work if the minimum time on is 15 minutes!Also, this is a 360 degree sensor. I wanted to limit the sensor so when I was in the bathroom, the sensor (in the master closet without a door) wouldn't activate and would only turn on as I walked into the closet.Simple solution: put a little electrical tape over the sensor as necessary to shield the motion. Works great. Use white electrical tape for 2 extra style points.After I figured out the position of the tape and knew it worked, I designed and 3D printed a little hood that I glued on. Looks factory and works perfectly every time I step in the same spot. I almost think they should include something like this in the box as it's kind of necessary in many instances.

but in the kitchen,has great range,left it on the factory setting of 10 minutes,it will pick up motion at 15 feet where i have it located,works great.

Wiring diagram is misleading. Caused me to wire incorrectly and burn out sensor. Looked up how to wire correctly on You Tube.

This item is not cheap and has capabilities I'll never use but I bought it because the performance claims sounded good and the reviews were good. My 2-car garage is 25' wide x 20' deep x 9' high with the interior entrance to the house up a 4' set of steps in a section with a higher overhead. I mounted it to a rafter in the center of the garage. I wired it in parallel with a light switch. Using the advertised coverage pattern I understood why opening the interior door didn't trigger the motion sensor, so I removed one mounting screw and loosened the other so to tilt the sensor up in its view of the interior door and down in its view of the garage doors. Works great.

This is just what I wanted and expected. I wired it into my garage lights and now the lights come on when I walk in and go off a few minutes after I leave. Sound sensor works great as well. Lights go on and stay on as long as you are making noise and/or moving around. No more lights going out while in the middle of working on something.The only CON is that it is not easy to change the settings. There are a number of settings but only a single button and led light for changing the functions. It takes a while to figure out how to get into setting mode but the instructions are clear. Fortunately, the factory default will be good for most applications.The most important consideration is whether you can locate it in spot that is visible to all room entrances.

i ordered the first one and the lights never switched off, and had the same problem with the second one. Amazon needs to package this better not in a envelope
