Isle Bay Linens Men's Relaxed-Fit 100% Linen Tropical Hawaiian Casual Shirt

Bought this shirt for our trip to Tahiti. It arrived promptly. The linen is perfect for our hot and humid destination and seems to be of good quality. Seems to be well made and comfy for my husband for casual wear. My hubs usually wears a medium shirt and it fits perfectly. He has a bit of a belly and this shirt gives him the room he needs without being large through the shoulders and chest. Beautiful color and pattern.

The Isle Bay Hawaiian shirt in linen is more polished, certainly less garish, than most Hawaiian shirts. Here, in Hawaii, it could almost be a dress shirt. It is one my husband will be wearing to work. It is a nice quality, medium weight linen which drapes well. The cut is on the boxy side and fit a little looser than most. I am not sure if it runs large, or if it is just the "casual" cut. It is not very large, at least not to the point where I would recommend ordering down. I would say that if you are between sizes consider ordering down. (Amazon has a very good policy on returns and exchanges).The colors are also very nice, almost navy blue, again, not garish. It is understated as Hawaiian shirts go.We typically hang dry linen as it can shrink a lot, so if this just fits, I would recommend the same treatment. It is not described as pre-shrunk, but since we have not thrown it in the dryer I can not comment on how much shrinkage there would be if we did. If my husband decides it is a little too large or casual looking for work, we may, and I will update my review accordingly.

I love the feel of this linen shirt and am impressed in how well it is made with quality fabric and strong and true stitching throughout. The shirt comes out of the dryer nearly wrinkle free and the fabric is thicker than other linen shirts I own but is still not heavy like a denim material. The cut and style is true to typical Hawaiian shirts and the colors are bright and vivid giving a classic look that catches compliments from other tropical shirt lovers.

Isle Bay Linens Men's Relaxed Fit 100% Linen is just the ticket in a hot humid town. The color is perfect for the Fall/Winter season, and it is comfortable for areas of the country that do not get cold. Or perfect for the winter vacation to the tropics. Understated brown floral goes with just about anything, and the relaxed fit allows the wearer to tuck in the shirt or leave it out. Both are equally acceptable. Crisp collar and good detailing make this shirt acceptable for restaurant dinners. My husband is 5'8" 165 lbs. and he is wearing the medium. Linen is a natural fabric that breathes to help keep you cool. Very nice.

My husband wears a lot of black so I like to shake it up a bit with items he can wear over the black, or even on their own without destroying his sensibilities, and this linen shirt does the trick.It looks great, sort of a Goth version of a Hawaii shirt, with a floral pattern in black against a beige background -- really attractive design. Straight hem. Small buttons, good functioning buttonholes. The fabric is pleasant to the touch.It's medium weight, so great for the autumn or spring.Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. As it's 100% linen it can wrinkle. If you try, as I do, to avoid ironing, just take this out of the dryer before it's fully dry and hang it, or give it a spritz and hang it in a damp room for a little while.Made in China.

I was pleased to see that this linen shirt was 100% linen, and not a linen-cotton blend as many "linen" shirts are. It is nicely constructed (made in China), but I notice that the topmost button is fairly far down the shirt. This is not likely to be an issue for many men, but the V of my deep V-neck undershirt shows through. The fabric is soft and comfortable, draping well.The background color is sort of a pinky-beige, not quite what I was expecting, but it's not bad. When washed, the colors run a bit but after a couple of washings they should be fine. (The washing instructions say to wash with "like colors", but what does that mean for a dark pattern on a light background?)
