Very good LEDs
I've been using other LED lights like the Viribright 30 for can lights and a HitLight in the same range as these PacLights. I like the white color of the PacLights which are close to the Viribright lights which I use in my home workshop, but not with a slight blue shift that I notice in the HitLight (due to it being a lower color temperature). The CRI of these, and I haven't taken a direct measurement, seems a bit less than a couple of Westinghouse T8 18" lights I use in a task light. My use of these are in an overhead 3 bulb fixture in the kitchen and in a table lamp in another room.Used as direct replacements for 60 watt incandescent bulbs, these give out more light at a higher color temperature and do a good job of diffusing through their upper globe which is important as the fixture lost its diffuser some years ago. These are on/off fixtures (not dimming) and the performance is up to par with incandescent for on/off cycle time. The overhead fixture has been a bulb killer for CFLs and incandescent bulbs, and I'm suspecting it is a heat problem with them. Since LEDs use much less energy and give off less waste heat per apparent watt output, their heat build-up should be miniscule. Additionally that one in the kitchen is a high on/off cycle fixture and only time will tell if the circuitry can take that abuse. In all the only downside is that the white light isn't exactly what I get from those Westinghouse fluorescent tubes, but then the application isn't one where color rendition is critical. The light is not harsh when moderated by being overhead or behind a shade, and only somewhat harsh if you stare directly at them. With that said it is good for general lighting in a generally dimly lit room and reading by a table lamp with this bulb on a sofa it causes a bit of eyestrain.PROsPlenty bright enough to replace 60w incandescent bulbs, easilyDiffuse light when in a ceiling or shielded fixture and, really, who stares at a bare bulb?Low heat output, much needed for the one fixtureCONsBy itself in a dim room not a great choice for a reading lampCost is a bit high, but if lifetime is anywhere near what is possible, worth itNot the highest possible CRI you can find, and that is important only if your task demands itIn all these are great lights and I will just have to wait and see how well they fare. After a month they have outlasted the death rate of new CFLs in the one fixture, so they are already doing better than them. Would recommend to those needing general lighting that is diffuse white and only good for reading when ganged up or if it is unmoderated by a shade or diffuser.[UPDATE 1 Year of use] Still going strong, bright and just what is necessary for the kitchen fixture. No complaints and a good buy for where they are at.

An inexpensive, high lumen/watt bulb. Not perfect but pretty good.
For the price these are pretty high output as LED bulbs go. They lose a star because the CoolWhite bulbs border very closely on being greenish. The WarmWhite ones are almost orange, but that color irregularity is not as noticeable as with the CoolWhites. They are just slightly dimmer than a set of "75w" CFLs I have, but they sure do use less electricity (~35%).As with most LED bulbs, their light distribution tends to be ~80% away from the socket, so they are not as omni-directional as most CFL's or incandescents are. Still, they will light a smaller room well with the right fixture.I have noticed a few of them produce a slight and steady high pitched ring, only noticeable when it is completely quiet.Pros include that they are compact (they'll fit any socket with a standard bulb in it now) and don't create much heat. They are also more efficient (at least on paper) than most other LED's in this class with a purported 117 lumen/watt ratio.Update 4/15/15:Most of my family seems to prefer the WarmWhite bulbs, and I have to agree. I would really like a true DayLight variety 4000-5000k. The CoolWhite is just too cool (almost green). The paint color of the room can make a significant difference on the perceived quality of light, which is why a more pure white would be better.

BRIGHT, white/cold light
I flip-flopped a while on whether to go with the Cool White or Warm White version of this product and ultimately settled on the Cool White since my place has some very dark corners that needed a spark of life.I love them in the darkest rooms of the house but my kitchen, which wasn't very dark to begin with, is now SUPER BRIGHT. That's a great thing in my book but I can see that not everyone would enjoy the Cool White. It's a very cold, almost clinical light. It may just take some getting used to and, as I said, I love them in my closet, bedroom, living area, hallways, etc. It's just in the kitchen where they strike me as clinical. So if you're worried about that, I'd suggest trying the Warm White. I haven't seen the Warm Whites but, for those who are worried about a stark light, you wouldn't like the Cool White.

PacLights Plus60 Extra Bright LED Light Bulbs (Pack of 4) 9-watt, Cool White / Daylight (1050 Lumens)
Very bright white light! We purchased a few of these to try in different areas of our house. Have tried a few other brands purchased from local store before and returned them. Absolutely love these! These are brighter than the 75W incandescent's we replaced. We prefer the white (more natural) light vs the yellow incandescent light. We put 6 bulbs in the light over our dining room table and WOW - some may say it looks almost like a runway - but that is what we like. We ended up putting 5 bulbs in our kitchen light above the island. Entire kitchen is super bright and the white-more natural light really makes the true colors in the kitchen stand out. We moved a few bulbs around the house and tried one in our garage and outdoor porch lights. You would not believe the difference! Lets just say I just purchased a lot more bulbs to replace every bulb I possibly can with these. If you have been looking for the white more natural light instead of the yellow lighting and something that is brighter than a nightlight bulb from your local stores - THESE ARE IT!!!
