Yes, I can play Blue ray disks on my TV, but about a year ago, I installed a 56" 4K television on my desktop. Yeah, it's overkill, but I'm getting older and my eyes no longer enjoy squinting. And, the colors on my "monitor" are now much more crisp and vivid than any computer monitor I have ever owned.Back to this disk drive: It is very light weight, small and self contained. Just plugged it in to a powered USB 3.0 port and it was immediately ready for action. Plays well, have experienced absolutely zero glitches. What more could I have wanted?It is great. If you are in the market for an external DVD / Blue ray disk, you cannot go wrong with this one.

Pretty straight forward, product. Kinda pricey but it's easy to use and worth the money in my personal opinion. Been using this for a long while now for ripping blu rays and it has not quit on me yet.

It works well with BluRay, not as well with DVD. I ended up buying a DVD drive to record my DVD movies.

This drive has 2 models. One has Bluray logo on center of tray, and one has on the right corner. I received yesterday 5/10/19 one has logo on the corner and tested for a day. The tray has a big problem of loading and rejecting a disc. The loading disc not to spin to find a index causes no disc in the drive all times, then it neither rejects disc when pressing its tray button once at a time. Note: I had a period of 5 minutes to make it spin and reject disc by pressing the tray button in multiple times at many different angles. This is an extra wasting time to play this drive. Not really recommend.

This does its job perfectly. The only complaint I have is that you need to have 2 usb cables plugged in, one to power and the other to send information.

When I received this product.Let me test this product.Is it as described?I used it to read my blu-ray movie.And burn my blu-ray disc. works fine.And I also use it on my regular discs.The effect is the same as described.I'm satisfied.

I use it for work, where I burn files onto blu-ray discs. It's very fast. Sometimes I use it at home to read my blu-ray movies. Very good job. The price is very reasonable. I like it very much.

Yet another cheap Chinese DVD player CLAIMING to play 4K which it does NOT. This is a metal cased version of the cheap unit from Moglor. It is really hard to get it to open or eject even for regular DVDs.

I expected a plug and play but got a poorly translated booklet that says I need to download testing software then recommends downloading PowerDVD which you will need to pay extra for. When you finally get a disc to play it will only play on a screen connected though an HDMI cable, it can not be used directly on a TV or through a tablet so it is completely useless if you want to connect it to your TV or projector.*Update, after spending an evening downloading and installing a different Blu-ray program (Leawo) I can finally watch my videos on my computer. The cable that comes with the player is short and awkward to use with my desk top but is fine for my laptop.
