Great book, arrived in a timely manner. Is technically vintage I believe and it was in good shape when it arrived. This is the biography of the woman who created the Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady...not the diary itself. A good source for that hard to find book in first edition form is half priced books.

I just love the presence of this book! I haven't had a chance to read it, as of yet. But I will here, very soon. I did flip through it, and it has alot of wonderful illustrations! I know that I'm going to enjoy it...because of comments my friends have made about Edith Holden. And then, I may just have to order more of her books!!

If this lady's life was anything as boring as this book, it is no wonder she took to chronicling nature non-stop. The sale and the quality of the book as described. The writing and the story? Snooze.

This is a very well-written biography of Edith Holden who is the author of The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady. It has many photos and illustrations that were done by Edith. I enjoyed learning more about Edith Holden and life in England in the early 1900s.

I appreciated the honest and helpfuldescription of the book I purchased. I’m verypleased with the book’s condition, and will enjoy reading this biography of a little knownwoman artist and writer. So glad I found thisbook!

I just wanted to read about this artist because I love her watercolor drawings. Enjoyed learning about her.
