Works well to reduce static
Really reduces static! We use it on our plastic office floor mats to reduce the snap, crackle, and pop of static electricity. Really works well with no problem with small. Easy to use, too. I'd recommend this.

Really Works!
I was a little skeptical, but figured for <$30/gallon it was worth a try and boy am I glad I bought this! I'm in Colorado where it's very dry and with cold weather and forced-air heating I always have a little trouble with static shocks around my house. But for some reason my theater room is visited 10-fold by these static-shock fairies! It's so bad that if I forget to discharge by touching something non-high-tech that my movie projector will actually black out temporarily or my DVD player will shut down completely. And it bloody well HURTS when I discharge! So I got this ACL Staticide, put it in a spray bottle, and sprayed lightly on the carpet areas around my AV equip along with my sofa. It had a VERY slight chem-smell while wafting through the air from my spray bottle, but NO residual smell and I can't see any sign of residue on my AV equipment that was in the spray-path. I put down about 1 oz of product for the first application and figure I'll re-apply about once every week which will make this gallon last for about 2 years. I won't say I don't get ANY static shock, but I'd say the level of shock (pain, spark, potential damage) has dropped from an 8 or 9 down to a 1 or 1.5. Not a complete solution, but for the money it's a HUGE improvement and will likely prevent permanent damage to my projector, receiver, sub-woofer, DVD player or ME! Highly recommend as an inexpensive 85-95% reduction for household static issues. I may try it on my long-haired cat next. No, just kidding! Mostly... :)

So far, so good
This has almost solved our static problems with our new carpet. Only problem is that it doesn’t last very long. We have to respray every few days.

for photo paper, printer, dryer, home.......
I've tried a lot of things to lower static. Endust has polished in it and there are a couple of other clothes cling products, all about $9 a tiny can.I tried this brand in their large aerosol can and it does work, without the added cleaners (I think they make a staticide with cleaner if you want that). I mount some photos on foam core, and with cats around, the paper is like magnets. You can spray an area, but I've applied to the printer in a light spray and the room with the printer. Instantly, no static. I have a shop bench brush also with the spray on it. It takes a tiny amount. But, this worked so well, have put on a sofa and bed cover, and less cat hair. A spray in the dryer also aids dryer sheets.I think the aerosol is good for most people, as you can get a fine film. But, this gallon is so inexpensive for me this was the way to go. Put in a spray bottle, it is cheap. The bottle arrived from Amazon in a heavy sealed bag, no leaks.Photo printing from inkjet: without the spray the the photo exits the printer and you can see the cat hair flying fast to the print, as if magnetic. And, the hair embeds in the wet inks permanently. This stops all that. Have also noticed less dust in home in air, and this has helped manage some of the cat hair.

Surprisingly it really works
This stuff really seems to work. I was surprised. Spraying it around on the ground every few months has totally cut the static generated by several coworkers in my office that like dragging their feet around on our carpet. I do IT and had a little worry about static vs computer hardware, this really seems to cut the amount of static down a lot. I'm sure that really delicate hardware could still get zapped. At least since I started using it I haven't been zapped by doorknobs or metal file cabinets. The only issue is inhaling the spray while applying will cause coughing, so a mask may be a good idea. I also do it at the very end of the day to let it dry while no one is around. Once dried it has no noticeable odor or appearance.Update:I found that for carpet in a small office that a Rubbermaid Revel spray mop with it's mop head removed works great. It really is just a spray bottle on a stick but this way I don't have to crawl around with a spray bottle. For $20 it is a great way to apply the Staticide to carpet.

Seems to work ok for about 12 hours, then needs reapply
Nice that it seems relatively non-toxic, and doesn’t leave any obvious residue. However, seems to work effectively for only about 12 hours before needing another coating. (In Maine wintertime, with humidity below 20%)

Who knew?!
I mist my carpets with this and briefly let it dry, then vacuum. It does two things--stops my vacuum from giving me static shocks Everytime it brushes my leg. But the MIRACLE is that all the dog hair comes off the carpets so easily. I have a border collie and swiss mountain dog. I also have wool area rugs. That's a recipe for disastrous mess. I thought the rug was trash because the hair just would not come off. This saved me from having to buy new rugs. It has a really light scent...smells clean and fresh but a little artificial. It only lasts a few minutes and then the smell is gone completely. Will be back to purchase more when this one runs low.

It's for real
Tried of getting shocks in my office. I poured it in a standard spray bottle and misted the carpet and my chair. No more shocks. Not sure how long it lasts yet, but it only took a fine mist to knock the static down. Very very slight fragrance fades almost immediately.
