This is a really nice set. The red silicone pair is great for using while outside barbecuing or for using in the kitchen to remove hot dishes/pans from the stove or oven. They are nice and thick but still flexible and the grips on the gloves make it easy to grasp onto whatever you’re using them for. I stuck them into my dishwater to see if they were waterproof...and they are! They’re easily cleaned unlike my cloth type pot holders that tend to get stained up. These gloves did an amazing job of protecting my hands from the hot dishes/pans.The gray cut resistant gloves are really nice for when I’m cutting up fruit, veggies, meat, etc; I really needed these gloves...I’ve cut myself a few times while cutting up food. They are a nice snug fit but are really flexible so they don’t feel awkward when you’re using them. My thoughts: This is a double glove set. You get a really nice red silicone pair for handling hot pots, pans, dishes etc. Nice and thick yet very flexible and easy to grasp handles and such while wearing. They help yu grasp items very well too they really are no slip. They are waterproof. Easy to clean as well. Protects your hands from the heat very well. I have small hands so they are a little big on me, but I can still use them very well. I like the little heart shapes all over them. Really nice pair of silicone gloves.The other set is a set of gray cut resistant gloves for handling items like knives, graters etc. They are snug but have some give to them. Machine washable or you can hand wash. I would air dry though. Very lightweight and easy to use. They are made from a stainless steel core fiber, polythene fiber, and spandex. I did take a serrated knife and drug them over the gloves surface a few times with a little pressure. They didn't snag or cut through the gloves. So far they have protected my hands very well in the kitchen.Overall I really like both sets. The red set should fit almost any hand size. The gray set runs a little small. They fit my tiny hands. Someone with very big hands might have some trouble getting these on. I use both a lot since I received them since I do a lot of food prep and cooking for my family. So far they have both worked excellent and have protected my hands very well. Comfortable too. I would definitely recommend this set. A TREMENDOUS opportunity to derive even greater joy in your cooking, and PROTECT your hands at the same time. Think of it. Corn on the cob done? Simply reach into the boiling water (carefully, w/o splashing) and take a hold, to pull it out. Baking potatoes takes on an easier dimension, (once you get it down) when you can simply give a gentle, 'squeeze,' to, 'feel,' just how, 'done' your potato is. True, there is a slight learning curve to it, but I am growing to like it more virtually every time I use it. I would be inclined to say that this configuration makes this one of the better values on Amazon. I love the idea of including the cut resistant gloves, and, I believe that this an excellent bonus. Who hasn't had that moment when you 'feel' the knife take just a 'bit more,' than we intended, and know instinctively that the next thing will be blood, then some pain, then, trying to, 'stop the bleed.' The lightweight protection afforded by these safety gloves is just the ticket for avoiding that dilemma. I did receive a bit of a discount in return for my willingness to write a review, but I am indeed quite enthusiastic about recommending this unique combination of hand protection. I believe that anyone looking to upgrade their level of cooking/hand protection, need look no further to find it.The feel of the silicone is lush and pleasant to the touch, and while it is still a glove that is sufficiently thick to afford adequate protection against heat, it still affords enough deftness of touch to pick up and handle things as needed. Were I to offer one thought on enhancements, I would LOVE this glove to be offered in a larger size. I am admittedly a big guy, and, I typically wear an extra large glove, and while this glove does fit me, I could sure use a larger size. It would make it a bit easier for me to put on. The 'grippiness' that I so love about silicone makes it easy to hold without dropping something, but it also makes it 'grippier' to put on.

I purchased this set to use for grilling outdoors, we recently used these gloves when grilling oysters. We used the cut resistant gloves when opening raw oysters for serve on the half shell... we were able to open the shells without fear of cutting ourselves with the shells or knife, this made everything run more efficiently! We had friends over so it was great to open the oysters quickly! We used the silicone gloves to take the hot oysters we cooked on the grill off of the grill, we didn't even feel the heat through the silicone gloves! Nothing slowed us down! I highly recommend this glove set to anyone who wants a great set to use indoors or out! I received a discount in exchange for my honest opinion... I give this set 5 stars!
