Beautiful and easy to apply
Two packs of 1000 strands come in an order. The package says "Just Like Grandma's". Hahah, no. My grandmother's tinsel was made of lead, and you could wad it all up into a tight ball after Christmas, but it hung beautifully and reflected light exquisitely. In that respect, this stuff could be compared to Grandma's. When you open the package, the tinsel is cut leaving the top portion a solid strip, so you have to cut the strips off. No big deal. The wonderful thing about this stuff is that every single strand is exactly even like all the others, and will not tangle, unlike some other brands, the strips of which are very irregular and will tangle hopelessly into wads in your hand.I am a tinsel nazi, I use lots and only apply 2-3 strands at a time. With this stuff, I used far less, only half of one of the two packages, because of the shine and consistency of size. The only thing you have to be careful about is the slipperiness. Hang on to your handful. But--I dropped half of my handful, and I was able to pick it up in a wad and it didn't tangle, which was so wonderful! The only other thing is that it is firmer than other tinsel, so it drapes less limply on the tree branches. The finished effect is quite nice; I'm very happy.I just ordered two more orders for future years, I like it so much.

Beautiful, but takes a little work
This tinsel looks beautiful on my 10-foot, retro-themed Christmas tree! The strands are wider and somewhat heavier than the cheap tinsel you usually find in the hardware stores or big box stores. A minor downside is that it slides off the fake needles on my tree fairly easily if don't have the strands draped more or less from their center point on the branches. Also, you have to cut the tinsel off the main ribbon (it comes in the package like a giant piece of tinsel fringe, still connected along one side). I found that it does NOT work well if you unroll the whole thing at once and then start cutting -- everything got tangled when I tried it that way. I found that it worked better to keep the fringe on its cardboard holder and cut it off while it's all folded up using a very, very sharp set of scissors. It was difficult and messy, but in the end worth the effort.

Great icicles
I looked everywhere for icicles a few years ago, and all I could find were curly ones which I have never seen before. These are perfect… just like what we had while I was growing up

Why the fold?
This would be so perfect were it not for the fold...why would they do that? For me, it's really noticeable. Why go to the trouble of making it nice and long, and then folding it up for packaging. Fail!

Best tincel since I was a child.
OMG..tinsel like when I was a child. For years tincel has gotten so thin it is hard to put on the tree and it knots up. I am in my mid 50's and I have my first fake tree. Also for the first time I thought I could not have tincel. For me tincel is the finishing touch. I was SO upset about having a fake tree and no tincel, I decided I would try and see if I could find old fashioned tincel and put it on my tree. I found it in this product. I can put it on one at a time like when i was young. I feel so much better not having a real tree now that I can still use tincel. I just hope this company will always sell it. It is worth the money!!!!

Not sure why these are banded together
While I was able to make these work, I was super confused when I opened the package and all the tinsel strands were attached to this thick band. This product seems more like something you would hang over a door. I ended up cutting off the strands to put them on my tree but they aren't long enough from what I remember from back in the day. So, they work but I wouldn't buy these again or tell someone to buy them.

The worst tinsle one could buy
This tinsle came stuck together and was super difficult to pull off. It was way to thick and also gave my daughter paper like cuts when she was trying to pull off and throw on tree. Epic disappointment and whoever is manufacturing this product should stop immediately. Beyond fail.

Nostalgic, Beautiful, easy and perfect!
The media could not be loaded. I love Everything about these icicle garland strands! They are easy to wrap around, and fluff. I wrapped the tree just like garland. Don’t wrap real tight, so icicles can hang nicely. I also combed through icicles once placed, with my fingers, gently. I used 4 packs for a 7 foot tree. You need that many. I am 100% happy! Reminds me of the 70’s look of icicles, but so much easier. Please buy! Don’t hesitate! Just get enough packs. I would say for and 8.9 foot tree, you would need at least 6-7 packs. It’s worth it. I think I can nicely fold up and store for next year! Totally reusable, unlike the individual old fashioned ones. My only problem is, my cat 🐈⬛ likes to bite the strands at the bottom. lol. You will need a staple remover to get the staple out of the packed wrap. Please watch my video and see pics!! You won’t regret this purchase.
