Please Try to Remember the First of Octember! (Beginner Books)

This book was a favorite at our house when my kid’s were growing up, so, of course, I had to make sure my grandchildren have it too!

This was one of my favorite books when I was little. I always understood there was no such thing as the First of Octember, but it was fun to dream of having the outrageous gifts presented in this book. I'm glad I now get to share this with my own child.

Read it to your kids it teaches them they can’t always get what they want

One of my all-time favorite books. I bought this 15 years ago for The Husband for our first anniversary--we still had to sit on the floor of our living room because we lacked furniture, but I promised him I'd give him the world on the First of Octember. I bought this book now for one of my friends who's getting married.

The book spine arrived bent. The book was shoved into a box that was too small. The spine of the book is permanently bent up.

We love Dr Seuss but this is not a good lesson for kids.It basically tells them to wish for things, and it will come on the first of Octember. Never

Love this book but main reason I bought it was for my grandson since it has our state listed as one of the places to go!

My 4-year old son loves this book. He figured out quickly that Octember is not a real month, but we still keep playing imagining things that could happen on that day.In my opinion it's the best Dr Seuss book, since it so increases the awareness of infinite possibilities and the child's imagination.I recommend this book.

I bought this for my son; this was his favourite childhood book. According to him, (he's now 25!) this is still the best book in the world.

I love this book! Looked everywhere and could not find it, found it on sale here and scooped it up immediately!
