Marmot Montreal Down Coat, Women, 700 Fill Power Down

Absolutely love this coat! It is by far the warmest coat I have ever owned. It has lots of pocket storage and a lovely big hood. The sizing on these coats is quite small based on mine. I'm 5ft 4 and usually wear a size 12 on my top half and 14 on my lower half due to my large hips. I have had issues with previous coats ripping around the hips because of this! I bought the XL size which fits perfectly. I was concerned that it would be too big around the top but isn't too bad. When the coat is fully done up, it can look a bit sack-like but I opted to wear a wide elasticated black waist belt with mine to make it more form fitting. I keep the belt in one of the inner chest pockets when not being used.Recently wore this coat on a trip to Copenhagen in December where temperatures were about 0-2°C and it kept me lovely and toasty. Not once did I feel cold! Definitely recommend this coat and would buy a Marmot coat again.

Coat is nicely shaped and seemed to be warm when first tried on. However, I wore it to work in 6 degree outdoor temperature and I still felt chilly. My old Toggi padded jacket was much warmer. Sizing is a slightly on the small side. I am a slim size 12 (and 5ft 2in) but the medium size is only just big enough. However, I am pretty sure that the large size would be too big. Can't win. The length is fine, about 3 ins above the knee. The hood is totally stupid! I eventually figured out that the hood tabs tuck inside the collar and grip the velcro inside the collar hem. Also when fully up the hood is like a tunnel, so long and narrow that you can barely see out! Folding back the fur trim helps but it's not ideal in windy conditions as it unfurls again. Overall an expensive coat that could do with some pratical improvements. Some brighter colours would be nice, too. Every coat I own is navy!

I really love this coat and feel it was worth the investment. I had a hip-length, non-hooded down Marmot jacket years ago I remember being really warm, so I thought I would give this coat a try. I'm very pleased. It is very very warm, has great detailing with softness near the collar and in the sleeves, and the fur hood is of good quality. I'm quite petite (5'3 49 kilos) and most coats overwhelm my frame, but this is one is flattering as far as down coats go- nice sleek cut. Feel great wearing it around London.

Really impressed so far. I’m really short. 152cm/5ft and curvy. It was hard to find a coat that didn’t make me look really overweight and these styles of coats aren’t the most flattering but compared to a well known brand for winter wear with coats priced around £400 that made me feel fat and frumpy this is a winner!I’ve moved to a colder place to live so needed a warm outer layer. Although I’ve not experienced snow as yet I’m toasty & warm on the beach wearing this and it’s not too heavy or cumbersome.Will update once the snow hits my part of the world!I’d recommend!

I’m a size 14, 36” chest, round belly and size Large was a perfect fit. Lovely and warm and very lightweight. Very flattering. I’m 5ft 1” and comes to knees.

I am in love with this coat. I am continually amazed at how very well made and finished it is. Beautiful colour (Claret). 4 concealed pockets. I am a 14 and large is a perfect fit. I immediately removed the "fur" trim and now the hood. It is a mild winter so far so sometimes the coat is a little warm but on cold days I am very cozy. Not only is it down but has a fleece half lining. Anyone with short arms may find the sleeves long. I have long arms and I turn them up a little. I hesitated buying a coat on mail order but this has been a great buy and deliverd right on the day forecast.

The coat is excellent. It fits well and is lovely and warm. The coat is very well made. There are elasticated inner cuffs which is clever, as these stop draughts. It is lightweight but very warm. The hood is big, as other reviewers say, but I think it’s OK.This isn’t a cheap coat but it’s quality...you get what you pay for!

Not the cheapest coat (but a good offer from this seller), however very good quality & you can tell it is real down filling. Was a good fit & it is really nice & warm . Has a nice stylish cut too. Was sent from Germany , but even though over new year holiday received within a few days.

Qualität:Ich habe den Mantel bestellt, weil ich endlich einen Wintermantel haben wollte, der richtig warm hält, auch wenn man länger in der Kälte steht (z.B. auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt) und bis jetzt bin ich begeistert.Er ist super warm, bequem und durch das Fleece an der Innenseite und an den Ärmeln soo kuschelig. Man fühlt sich einfach geborgen. Generell macht der Mantel einen sehr hochwertig verarbeiteten Eindruck.Auch die äußeren Taschen sind flauschig, sodass man keine kalten Hände bekommt. Wenn man den Reißverschluss bis oben zuzieht, braucht man nicht mal unbedingt einen Schal, was ich sehr praktisch finde.Schnitt:Von der Länge her ist er für meine Größe (ich bin 1,70m groß) genau richtig, nur die Ärmel dürften meiner Meinung nach bei Größe M etwas länger sein. Wenn man die Arme hebt, rutschen sie über das Handgelenk. An der Brust ist er etwas eng geschnitten, aber man kriegt ihn noch locker zu.Ich hatte erst etwas Bedenken was den Schnitt angeht, weil der Mantel auf den Fotos sehr gerade geschnitten aussieht, aber ich finde ihn wirklich schick und figurbetont, sowohl mit offenem als auch mit geschlossenem Reißverschluss und man fühlt sich nicht wie ein "Michelin-Männchen" oder ähnliches.Praktikabilität:Cool ist, dass man entweder das Fell oder gleich die ganze Kapuze abnehmen kann, je nach Geschmack. Ich lasse es allerdings dran, da es ein netter Eyecatcher ist und gut vor Regen schützt.Außerdem lässt sich der Reißverschluss von oben und von unten öffnen, sodass man damit z.B. auch in der Stadt Fahrrad fahren kann.In die zwei Innentaschen (eine mit und eine ohne Reißverschluss) kann man z.B. Geld rein tun, wenn man mal ohne Tasche unterwegs sein möchte.Außerdem passt er in schwarz zu allem, sowohl zum Kleid mit hohen Schuhen, als auch zur Jeans. Definitiv mein neues Lieblingsstück im Winter.

El abrigo es de calidad, muy buen plumón puesto que abriga bastante. A finales de diciembre lo llevé a Berlín y Edimburgo con solo una camiseta térmica abajo y estuve muy calentita. La clave es que lleves pocas capas para que el plumón absorba el calor corporal y te mantenga la temperatura ideal. La capucha es grande, tal y como yo la quería. Repele el agua de lluvia (siempre estuvo lluviendo), pero debes saber que no es una prenda del todo impermeable. Usé paraguas en muchas ocasiones para proteger el abrigo (y protegerme yo también), en otras no. Dicho de otro modo, con lluvia moderada el plumón no pierde su capacidad de recuperación del volumen (CUIN 700). No creo que sirva para temperaturas más extremas, por ejemplo -5 o -10ºC pero sí para temperaturas europeas en un invierno "normal".En rusumen, buena prenda para estar abrigada, aun sabiendo que no es del todo impermeable. Si quieres una prenda impermeable debes comprar otra diferente, y si quieres que además abrige como esta o más, debes gastarte más dinero. Le doy 5* porque es justo lo que buscaba. No voy a ir al Ártico ni mucho menos con ella, pero para el centro o norte de Europa es excelente.

Generalmente, utilizo en prácticamente todas las prendas que compro la talla XS, pero en este plumífero, de hombros me queda muy pequeño. El resto: cintura y caderas, perfecto. El largo de la prenda para una estatura de 162 cm., queda aproximadamente hasta pasada media cadera. No puedo opinar acerca de su función principal que es la de abrigar ya que no lo he utilizado, pero creo que si lo hará. La prenda apenas pesa y es bonita, la tela no es brillante como en las fotografías, diría que es más bien mate.

Mantel wirkt optisch schön, das Fleecefutter im oberen Bereich ist sehr schön, weich und kuschelig.Die technischen Werte sind sehr gut (700 cuin Bauschkraft- das ist im oberen, besseren Bbereich), Daune-Feder-Verhältnis leider nicht angegeben). Der Mantel wirkt sehr warm und sollte mitteleuropäischen Verhältnissen standhalten; Hochgebbirgstouren oder einen Antarktis Ausflug wird man mit dem Mantel nicht machen. Die Längenangabe (bis zum Knie)- ich bin 175cm groß und habe den Mantel in Größe L bestellt, trifft bei mir nicht ganz zu. Der ultimative Kältetest steht noch aus, aber die Füllung scheint ganz ordentlich (der Mantel ist zwar leicht, aber wirkt weder ultraleicht noch Michelin-Männchen artig.Leider ist kein Daune-Feder Verhältnis (idealerweise 80:20 oder besser 90:10 oder gar 95:5) angegeben.Bei Bergfreunde erhielt der Mantel ser gute Bewertungen von den Kundinnen!

About size XS I received:I am a very petite person, and the XS is tight under the arms, the arms looks big like astronauts suit and the body is tight at the chest (I am only a 32 cm at chest) and loose in other places below chest. It gives a compressed chest look and loose other places basically ill fitting?What was the deal breaker for me, the length of XS is 78 cm (30.70 inches!!!) at the back even tough it says 33 inches on the description of marmot website. It is so short!!!! The size S length at back is 84.5 cm (33.07 inches). I really wish the XS was longer.About size S:For the size S, The body is loose and the arms like a super space suit. If I wear this all the cold will get inside and will not protect me, so I don't think S is for me, XS would be better even tough little tight. I think my size is between S and XS.+ve : Color is vibrant, hood wonderful, nice fleece lining inside and 2 inner pockets. Arms length correct (165 cms height for me), just under arms/chest problem. For good down filling the value for money is pretty good with quality/down/price. Not tight around the hips, space to move. Double zipper to open from bottom for more mobility and cooling.-ve : Bad sizing and length, worst thing about the XS is the length of just 78 cm contrary to 33 inches on website!! Super narrow shoulders. I also think it is great if you have bigger arms and a small chest. Disappointed with their sizing chart as I followed it to the dot and their shaping, I was so looking forward to this jacket :(

La compré para usarla en invierno de -0 grados en Nueva York 🥶 y fue perfecta. No pasé nada de frío. Soy delgada y cogí la talla M porque si me ponía jerséis gordos tampco quería ir ajustada y me queda perfecta. La largada de la chaqueta es por encima de las rodillas y el gorro y el pelo del gorro es extraible. Buenísima compra lo que suelta algunas plumas con el uso.

Ich bin mit diesem Wintermantel sehr zufrieden. Er wirkt optisch sehr schön, auch dank der angenehmen Farbe. Vom Gewicht her ist er ziemlich leicht, man merkt aber dann doch schnell, dass dies ein Wintermantel ist. Er hält schön warm, man schwitzt darin aber nicht, wie es bei günstigen Mänteln der Fall ist.Die Qualität und Verarbeitung sind sehr gut - saubere Nähte und durchdachte Details sind einfach toll. Durch das weiche Fleece innen ist der Mantel sehr angenehm zu tragen. Die Kapuze und Kunstpelz sind abnehmbar, es gibt auch zwei praktische Innentaschen (1x mit Reißverschluss und 1x offen).Der Mantel fällt ein wenig kleiner aus, habe ihn deshalb in einer Größe größer bestellt. Ich bin 168cm groß und bei mir ist er knielang, die Ärmellänge ist für mich genau richtig. Der Mantel gefällt mir sehr gut, ich kann ihn auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

I have bought two of this jacket, one for myself and one for a friend, that is how much I like this jacket. But, it is not without cons.Pro- very warm- very lightCons- The zipper feels flimsy- It is not as waterproof as you expected for Scandinavian winter weather. I was once soaked in cold rain during late autumn.- not many pocketsI now carry rain coat if I check it will rain on the day I wear this coat, so it is all good. As someone who is easily getting cold, this coat still my preference.

Me ha gustado el abrigo, pedí una talla M y me queda bien, pero da talla, no es estrecho.Es de calidad y el tacto es muy bueno, aún no lo he probado a bajas temperaturas, pero se nota que abriga bastante y no pesa nada. Queda voluminoso. En definitiva, ha cumplido mis expectativas. Lo recomiendo.

Caldo e morbido nella parte superiore... troppo leggero e un po' abbondante nella vestibilità complessiva!Ho preso una M che corrisponde alla 42 ITTroppo costoso... mi aspettavo qualcosa di meglio a quel prezzo e con tale presentazione..

Mi mujer está encantada. Es ligera hasta el punto de mosquearte un poco al principio, pero abriga un barbaridad. Su diseño está muy bien y combina con ropa de todo tipo. Muy satisfechos con la compra.

Der Mantel hat eine tolle Verarbeitung und Qualität, alle Materialien sind sehr hochwertig, auch die Kapuze sitzt perfekt, sehr funktionell und guter Schnitt. Wenn man seine Jacken gerne etwas lockerer trägt, sollte man den Mantel eine Größe größer kaufen.Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Super warme Jacke, auch im Regen gut zu tragen (keine strömende regen). Auch sehr bequem.Konnte etwas auf die Figur geschnitten sein, aber trotzdem felt gut aus.Super Sache: zwei innere pokets- unbedingt moorige Sache wenn Mann ohne Tasche,zb auf der Spiel Platz geht.

Der Marmot Montreal Mantel ist super leicht und angenehm zu tragen. Sie sitzt pass-genau, hat eine tolle Länge und ist gut geschnitten. Ich bin 1,75 m und habe meine ganz normale Größe S bestellt. Die Jacke reicht bis zum oberen Oberschenkel.Praktisch ist auch, dass man sowohl das Fell als auch die komplette Kapuze abnehmen kann. An den Ärmeln hat sie zusätzliche Vlies-Bündchen, die wärmen. Mich hält die Jacke sehr warm, insbesondere durch das weiche Innenfutter am Oberkörper und in den Jackentaschen. Ich würde mir die Jacke definitiv wieder kaufen!
