The best second plane you own.
If you have the basics down, like turning and going up and coming down (not landing) this plane is perfect for you, it's so easy to hand launch, give it full throttle and go through the motion of throwing it parallel with the ground, and just let go.. once your not comfortable with it, you can upgrade the battery to a 3000 mah battery for longer flight times, and if you want singing faster, just get rid of that little prop, and throw on a 13x8 prop. I've heard you can run a 4s battery on it, and it makes sense that you can, but with the larger prop and bigger battery, it has unlimited vertical climb, it's fast on the air, loops, rolls, and hovering are not a problem. The belly has a strong piece of plastic for a hard landing. My only complaint is my first crash with it, 60mph into a wall broke the motor, so I upgraded it to a dys 3565 1000kv and a 70 amp ESC.. it's it's easily 100mph with that set up.. it's too much.. I've bought two of these. It was my first plane I could fly on my own and launch and land consistently, until I didn't.. a year later I've grown gotten better with other more advanced planes, I started to miss this one, so I bought it again. and now that I know what im doing, this plane is relaxing and a easy no stress joy to rip around the air field, belly drags across the grass, and im leaning aerobatics with it cuts it's so responsive and ready to fly.

Great introduction to bigger-than-toys planes
Overall it's a great plane. I use a 2200 mAh 3s battery and its CG is perfect. It has the perfect amount of power for its size and weight, looks amazing, and is incredibly stable.I only have a couple small gripes. First, I lost aileron authority on one flight because the servo connection was really unstable. Although firmly plugged in, I found that when it's wedged next to the battery connector it just doesn't work. Fortunately it was only one of the ailerons, so I had some turn capability. This cost me a really hard landing, but I've since taped these connections to the fuselage on the inside and it seems fine. The aileron issue wouldn't have been that big of a deal if not for the VERY small amount of throw in the rudder. With Safe Select on or OFF it's very, very little. I adjusted the connection to the control horn, but it's still a little weak in this department. It makes me wonder if Parkzone set it this way because it's susceptible to a spin? All -in-all it's a great bird and I don't regret getting it. Since the installed receiver is 6ch I think I'll add flaps.

Wow! Exceeded my expectations! Quality plane, excellent value. I HAVE to fly this plane every day! This plane single handedly got me back into the hobby.

A Pleasure to Fly
Had to return the first one with a bad rudder hinge right out of the box. This one was mechanically perfect, but the paint flecks off way to easily as others have noted. Be prepared to buy some touch up paint right off the bat if you want it to look as good as it flies, which is very good.

Cowl breaks way too easy
I have been a big fan of Horizon hobbies planes, I own a lot of them. I am writing to let you know that I’m disappointed with this plane. This plane is not very durable. This should be a trainer plane that can handle some beginner landings. For me, first flight, ok landing, cowl and stabilizer are both broken. SAFE & as3x both were fantastic and this plane flew great for a beginner, but why do I need to buy a new cowl every time I fly this thing?
