Started flickering (not in strobe mode) after 1 month of use
First "tactical" flashlight I've owned that started flickering when light in a constant mode. Questionable build quality. And, the company advertises a 5 year warranty or an option to return for a refund. I wrote to the manufacturer and got this response when I asked them how I get a replacement flashlight - "I am sure you understand that since the product wasn’t purchased from us, we cannot honor the warranty." I got the flashlight from Amazon Warehouse Deals. It was new but the box was damaged. But regardless, what's the difference if I bought it from someone in Outer Mongolia or directly from the company that has in its product description the following statement-- "And what’s more, we stand behind all our products with a *5 Year Warranty and our No Questions Asked Return Policy."? And, it was sold by Amazon! I find their policy and attitude abhorrent.

Great for the Price!
Very surprised when I tried my new flashlight. Been using it for weeks now so I waited to do this review until I actually had some good use out of it. I'm a patrol officer working 3rd shifts, so I needed a flashlight that would be bright enough yet compact enough to carry around. This flashlight is very sturdy but lightweight, light is bright, battery lasts a good amount of time and fits in my side pockets well. The beam goes quite a distance and even though it lights up pretty far, the light is not as bright in the distance. But in my opinion, it's still good.Battery life lasts well for me, for anyone else, please know that with any flashlight, length of time will depend on your usage. For me and my job 1 battery cell lasted about a week and this package comes with 2!The only thing I think it needs is for this to come with a lanyard or some type of holder. The side clip it has doesn't hold so well.

Good, bright light
I don't like that it doesn't have a setting memory. When you turn the flashlight off and back on it will turn on at the brightest setting your battery will allow. I also don't like that the beam is so focused. See, I'm a welder and I have to clean my welds of any excess wire, buckshot(BB's) and slag. To do so you hold your light parallel to the work surface and look for shadows that don't belong. This lights beam shines above the surface making it harder to see what needs to go.That being said, I like the battery life and the feel of this flashlight. It feels durable in your hand and the broad head gives it that "my light means business" look.

Junk - Avoid At All Costs
I bought 2 of these and they did not last more than 6 months. The quality on the housing and the LED is horrible. The spring for the battery came off of one and the other one has an LED that decides to flicker or not even turn on. Horribly unreliable. I wish I could get my money back. Got Streamlight Polytacs now and haven't had any issues like these. They seem tactical but they are horrible Chinese bootleg quality that touts great features but are horribly designed and will fail within the first year. Luckily I can still use the batteries and chargers for my new flashlights.

Great for the money.
I'm not sure how I discovered the Guardian 1300XL flashlight, but I loved it enough that I've now bought two more to keep handy around the house. It's bright enough to allow me to see a fair distance into the woods behind our house. It holds a charge very well and charged quickly. I haven't had to use the strobe or SOS features, but it's nice to know I have them. It's the flashlight I recommend to friends.

It could be better.
Its alright at best. The light is bright (not close to the advertised lumens) and works ever time I use it, but you always have to screw the cap on or off a little. I have never been able to just pick it up and have it turn on without having to mess with it first. The battery life is good I just wish it was more reliable. Yes, I am using the plastic sleeve the battery rides in that supposedly fixeds this issue.

Flashlight is overrated
Aviation mechanic, purchased this light for work. Initially the light seen like a good buy but a month later the light started fading. I initially thought it was the battery, so I exchanged the battery and had the same issue with a fresh charged battery. Removed the battery cap and reinstalled the cap on the flash light and the light was bright again. 90 days later with this flashlight and this has been a on going issue. I would not recommend this light.

Great flashlight
I like that you can use back up regular batteries and the option of rechargeable battery. We will order more but directly from Intervine instead of amazon. My husband and son one some too.
