Axon Optics Spectrashield FL-41 lenses are proprietary and have been shown to block the light which aggravates light sensitivity and migraines. The lens has a unique rose-grey hue with advanced ophthalmic coatings to reduce glare, scratches, and smudges. Thousands of our customers use them as migraine glasses or for problems with light sensitivity. Light sensitivity is not limited to migraines. Other common conditions with symptoms of photophobia include blepharospasm, retinitis, meningitis, pituitary tumors, agoraphobia, and traumatic brain injuries. They may also help with blocking blue light from computer screens, fluorescent lights, or after concussions. What is the difference between the outdoor and indoor lenses? Our indoor SpectraShield lenses are soothing to the eye, even under harsh fluorescent lighting. Users feel the relief of a dark room, even when surrounded by bright lights. SpectraShield outdoor lenses are ideal for bright sunny days and all outdoor activities, to protect light-sensitive eyes from pain. Why not just wear sunglasses? When you are walking around with sunglasses indoors, you are dark adapting your eyes so that when you do take the sunglasses off you are even more light sensitive than you were before. Precision tinted lenses (sometimes called "migraine glasses") may help solve this problem by blocking the most suspect light while letting the good light in.

Awesomeness
I had some severe post-op complications following LASIK eye surgery. Additionally, I was extemely photo-sensative. I bought these to help manage the intense sun of Florida while taking a family vacation to Disney. (Yeah, the trip was already scheduled when I decided to have the eye surgery, but alas...)So I bought these as a Hail Mary. Having Prime, I knew of these sunglassed didn't blow me away I'd simply return them. Well, my eyes are all better now, but I've been so impressed with the sunglasses I'm keeping them. Not only do they do an amazing job managing the sun, but they make everything clearer to see.I don't know how well they'll hold up over time, but at $160, they'd better! My go-to sunglasses are a pair of Ray Bans I've owned for 20+ years. They're certainly not the most attractive sunglasses. These kind of remind me of pink version of Bono's "The Fly" persona. I also wear a handband at the gym, so when I walked in wearing a headband and these sunglasses some of my friends called me Macho Man Randy Savage. So they're not particularly stylish, but they perform above and beyond at blocking the sun...which is exactly why I bought them.

I love them. I put them on before I get ...
They made a huge difference on my headaches. I wasn't sure if they would make a difference. I almost always have a headache and the fluorescent lights at work sometimes really pushed them over the top. They also made a big difference on my sleep paterns. I'm not waking up near as often. I love them. I put them on before I get out of bed and at night after all the lights are off than they come off

The quality is good but not great
Yes these do work but they are ridiculously overpriced. There is no reason for these to cost almost $200. The quality is good but not great, they should be $100 at the very most.

Easy on the Eyes
These do help with eye strain.

Works great, though there are cheaper alternatives out there!
The Fl-41 tint works really well for my eye strain, especially in Walmart and other stores with big overhead lights. When I spend more than 20 minutes in these stores, I start to get nauseous and eventually get a headache. But wearing FL-41 glasses in these stores completely prevents both the nausea and headaches for me. If I'm on my computer for a long time, I also will wear the glasses to prevent eye strain. However, as helpful and stylish as these glasses are, they are very much overpriced at almost $200! I bought them on sale, and they were still very expensive. You can get equally effective Classic TheraSpecs Migraine Relief Glasses (Indoor Lens) FL-41 glasses for under $100 and SomniLight FL-41 Light Sensitivity Glasses glasses for under $50. They are the exact same tint, why do Axon's need to be so expensive? They aren't as stylish as the Axon glasses, but I'm much less afraid to break them! Now, I just use the Axons at home on the computer and the less expensive FL-41 glasses at Walmart, etc. Both pairs work okay in the Sun, but are really ideal for bright indoor lights and computers.
