Magnetic Oil Drain Plug Magnetic Sump Drain Nut Oil Drain Bolt (12x1.25,Red)

Bought a 2019 4Runner and bought one of these for my first oil change. Fast forward to today on my second oil change (5000 miles)... placed a new crush washer on it and screwed it back in by hand... then used a torque wrench set to proper specs... dang thing stripped the threads. Scariest feeling in the world when you strip the threads on a drain bolt, luckily I saved the OEM one and used that with a new washer instead. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product.

You wouldn't think there would be much metal floating around in your oil but you'll be surprised after using a magnetic drain plug. Very fine "shavings" all over the magnet. Glad I got it.

I really like magnetic drain plugs. These ones work nice, as the magnet sticks out, thus is easier to clean off if you do get some filings on it. Make sure there is nothing that the magnet will hit though. Some applications are not good for this style such as many differentials. I also like that the nut is large so you can get full contact with a wrench and therefore are less likely to round off the soft edges since these are aluminum.

this product looks and feels so cheap, I don't even think China will take credit for producing it... worth about $1. Used as a temporary plug until a Greddy one comes in. This cheap aluminum is garuanteed to strip it is SO soft. +1 star because it fit

It worked great on my 2015 Highlander oil plug.

12mm drain plug did not fit a 12mm drain hole.

Doesn’t fit. Not even Close!!!! Don’t buy.
