Improper tea bag packaging and terrible new taste
This used to be my favorite tea. I would buy this by the case and make huge batches of iced tea. They changed the taste...it's terribly plastic tasting now. They also changed their packaging. Now each tea bag comes in a mylar packet which is fine but their sealing process melted each tea bag into the sealed edge. You can't get the tea bag out of the packet without tearing it. My iced tea not only tastes terrible but also has loose tea floating in it. Don't waste your money on this now horrible product.

What is Smuckers doing to Paradise Tea?
I’ve been drinking Paradise Original for 10+ years and have gotten most of it from Coffee Wholesale USA. This last batch of tea that came in silver mylar packaging is not the same as previous orders. When I received this last order, I opened a package of the silver and a package wrapped in clear plastic from may previous order to see if they looked and smelled the same. There was a distinct difference in smell. The silver wrapped bags had a stronger smell that seemed artificial - as if the manufacturer was trying to substitute a cheaper, artificial ingredient.I’ve brewed several gallons since receiving this tea, and it’s not bad at all, but it’s not the same. Just a hunch, but I think Smuckers is altering the ingredients of this tea to make more $$$. If the next order isn’t back to normal, I’m done.

The taste is horrid ...
I read the other reviews that slammed the new version of this tea for its taste and its new packaging, and I thought, "Wow, it really can't be that bad." So I ordered some of this tea today, and no, it's really not THAT bad...It's WORSE than bad. It's horrid.I loved the original Paradise Tropical tea. Its taste and aroma was heavenly. This new version tastes something like a mix of old paint and bad medicine. I made up the first batch, and I am throwing the other 49 packages away. I simply won't be able to stomach this tea.Looks like I'll be searching for a new brand of tea. No kidding ... this tea is awful.

Used to Tastes great. Now nasty!!!!
from 2015: Taste great and I use it to make a gallon, let it stay in the pitcher, then use it again for another gallon and let it sit in the pitcher. Keeps tea strong and the cost down. I use a Mr. Coffee ice tea pot to brew it in and pour to a larger pitcher.****UPDATE**** I purchased this 2x in past month thinking I just got a bad batch. Was refunded first one and next one was the same. I also noticed I ordered from a different vendor. When I contacted my original vendor he stated that the company who made it was bought out: Message from 3rd party seller:Good morning. Smuckers bought the Sara Lee company Paradise some 6 years ago now. All the product smuckers has made is in silver packaging. I have had occasional complaints on a few batches, but we still sell plenty. Please voice your concerns to Smuckers................ This tea is definitely not made the same. They have cut major corners and have made the tea taste very bitter or has a "bite" to it... after taste.... so I will not be buying it again. Like many others said, it no longer comes in the clear packaging. The box it comes in is cut and shaped to fit the bags with many overlapping sides. To dilute it I made 2 batches from one bag. It still does NOT tastes as good and "tropical" as the original from Sara Lee. Very disappointed. I've opened 2 bags and have not yet had the issue others complain about regarding the bag being sealed into the individual packaging.. but I'm sure I will. To help it taste better, I have added Toranni syrup in Mango or Peach flavor. However, one should not have to add anything to a tea which should already taste great.

Exactly the Tea I Expected!
I bought this tea in March of 2018 and it's exactly how I remember it should be. Either Smuckers heard peoples' complaints and fixed the quality issues, or others aren't brewing their tea properly. 1 bag is meant to make approximately 1 gallon of tea and if you don't properly dilute the tea, I can see why it would be overly bitter. If you make it the way you're supposed to, it's great! A quick Google search turns up instructions. If you love Paradise Tropical Tea and you're on the fence about buying such a huge quantity, get off the fence and buy it already!

Huge value: Commercial packs brews more for same/lower cost than grocery store
Smuckers has purchased Paradise Tropical Tea from Sara Lee, & it looks like the normal consumer-sized tea bags aren't available during the transition, but these commercial packs are awesome. One 1-ounce pack brews a really strong tea ... but adding water/ice to dilute it = double the tea for the same price! I have a Hamilton Beach iced tea maker and I run three cycles for one tea bag. It makes at least two full pitchers of tea. At $66/box, that's $1.32 per tea bag = $0.66/pitcher. Awesome. I think the grocery stores sold the 4-pack smaller bags for $8, and one bag barely brewed enough for one pitcher.Add sliced oranges to the pitcher, it'll enhance the flavor just like Cheesecake Factory, makes a huge difference. Oh, and Smuckers has changed the branding/logo for Paradise. When I first received the box, I thought I may have received a knock-off. Thank goodness for Google. Same great flavor, just a different look.

Best Tropical Tea!
This is the same Paradise Tropical tea you'll find served in Paradise Cafe and other quality establishments. It can get very pricey in the grocery store. Ordering 50 gallon-sized tea bags can be pretty daunting, so I usually go in together with a couple of friends to purchase it. The $1.40/gallon price is a definite bargain for this tasty blend.HINT: Brew it up using only a quart or two of water, then store it in the fridge as a concentrate. Dilute it as needed... (I like it strong anyway, as iced teas tend to be diluted by the melting ice). ENJOY!!

Wish they sold in smaller quantities.
Same as Cheesecake Factory tea that I am addicted too. Wish they sold it in smaller packs. A 50pack is pretty pricey.

My favorite tea. Packaging is different
My favorite tea. Packaging is different. Not as fragrant as before. But still way better then plain black tea in the summer time.

Expensive but worth it
Love the refreshing taste of this tea! I bought it at my local grocery store for years and was heartbroken when they stopped carrying it. So happy to have found it again.

Bitter with very little tropical taste
I’ve purchased this tea many times before from another supplier and it tasted great. I thought I would save a little money and buy from amazon. I’m sorry I did.

It’s awesome but the packaging leaves a funky odor once you open it.
