PioneerHiker 40 Liter Water-Resistant Hiking Backpack Daypack for Camping Travel

I am not a serious hiker, we usually do about 3 hikes a year while on various vacations and I have been using my laptop backpack as a backpack for the hikes carrying a 35mm camera, extra lens and water bottles. I should have bought a better pack years ago. This pack served as a carry-on for the plane trip holding 35mm camera, notebook computer, protein bars, kindle and power cords. On the hikes, it carried the 35mm camera, extra lens, 2 water bottles inside, nuts and protein bars and 2 stainless steel water flasks in the outside pockets. Both hikes were 3 1/2 hours each of moderate hard and I never once noticed the weight of felt uncomfortable with the pack. It's good, quality construction with lots of small pockets. It's a great pack at an awesome price.

Very nice, inexpensive backpack. Has an area for a laptop and plenty of additional pockets and spaces for all your stuff. It is water resistant (not water proof). In other wards, in a light rain, it will protect your stuff. In a torrential downpour or dropping into water will not protect your stuff.

Smaller than 40L. I bought this bag to replace my 35 L bag. However, when the bag arrived, it immediately looked smaller and I can't fill it up as much as my old bag. Seems like this bag is probably around 30-35L at most. Therefore, I had to return it. Otherwise, the bag seems well constructed and sturdy.
