Esthetician Recommended
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. When you take into account the average cost of getting microneedling done at a medspa ($100-$700 per session), this pen is definitely worth the money. I am a licensed esthetician, and I purchased this to see if it would be quality enough to offer as a service. Microneeling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CID), is one of the best treatments on the market today. It is minimally invasive with little to no downtime and none of the potential disfiguring side effects that occur with treatments like deep chemical peels or lasers. I wanted to offer it as a service to my clients, but the name brand pens are +3,000 dollars. Although derma rolling can help with some things, it is not nearly as effective or result-producing as a pen, which I could go on and on about, but it's easier just to google it. I was pleased with the results I saw with this pen. It is easy to use and self-intuitive. I would, however, recommend using a numbing cream before use, unless you are using a small mm or the nano head. I also recommend using a serum (preferably one with vitamin c) WHILE using the pen. This helps the pen not scratch the skin as much and caused deep penetration of the serum resulting in maximum efficacy. In case you know nothing about CIT, here's some info:Microneedling creates little punctures in the skin to stimulate the body’s natural healing process. Collagen is the main structural protein in the extracellular space in the various connective tissues in our bodies. When this controlled damage from the needling occurs, collagen and elastin are induced and quickly help to rejuvenate the skin. Collagen consists of amino acids wound together to form triple-helices to form of elongated fibrils then "fills up" the punctured skin, creating smoother, even textured, and more toned skin. CIT helps with everything from stretch marks and acne scars, to wrinkles. I think it is a beneficial treatment and suggest investing in one if you're considering it. Average spas in my area charge $200 minimum for a SINGLE session, and with this, you can do it yourself for a fraction of the price, and based on the science of the integumentary system, experience the same results.Things to remember:-SPF! 90% of aging is due to sun exposure.-Keep your skin clean and well moisturized.-Be aware that you may experience some peeling a few days after treatment. This is normal. Your skin is regenerating and pushing the old layer off and replacing it with firm, soft, and youthful looking skin.-Give it time to heal. You'll notice results within a few weeks. The body takes the time it takes to heal, so don't think it didn't work and use it again in a week.-Another thing to keep in mind is that the micropunctures will be open for the next couple of hours following treatment. So stay away from any air pollutants like cigarette smoke as it could cause more damage to the skin.I hope this helps!?!

No more esthetician’s visits for me!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I’ve spent thousands getting professional microneedling and PRP (platlet rich plasma) microneedling, and this pen is just like the esthetician’s without the crazy price tag. The pen moves, so there’s less pain and no micro tearing (additional scarring). I‘m able to get it done much faster. I love the 12 needles; I can customize the needle type for whatever I’m targeting. I can also customize the length to go much shallower on my forehead and near my lips than my cheeks. It makes your skin look sunburnt for 2-3 days so I found the weekend a perfect time to use it.Initially, I didn’t understand how to make the pen vibrate. I asked a question on here, but in the mean time I figured it out! I had tried about 5 times and the pen wouldn’t move. I finally ensured the needle was firmly twisted or “locked” in place. It doesn’t actually lock in, but when I got it in place and turned it on, it vibrated. The product could be improved by a locking in click feature, but it still works great! I added a little video of this process to help anyone else!

Professional medical instrument.
I have seen good improvement in my skin with the use of a dermaroller, so I was excited to purchase this pen. It looks and feels like a very professional medical instrument. It comes with 2 cartridges and 12 sterile pins. This would be a perfect gift for an esthetician. The user manual is very basic, although it does suggest which pin to use on different areas of the skin. I would highly recommend watching videos to learn how to use it correctly. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase. I'm confident I'll see improvement in my skin with continued and consistent use.

Good product, powerful motor, needles move up and down, can be used plugged in, or fully charged.
I used this pen today, for the first time. It definitely did what it was supposed to do. I used the 12 needle at 2.5ml. I would say it is definitely medical grade use, as it penetrates at a deep enough depth to draw blood. Definitely use it with a good numbing cream, as it does start to sting and burn. But, that’s the price you pay to get real results. I was looking for something that would do the job, and this definitely did. The needles moved up and down as they were supposed to. The motor stayed powerful, and I like that it can be used while plugged in, or unplugged, fully charged. I will update my review in 4-6 weeks, once the skin has completely healed, and I can give an account on the results it produced. But, the fact that I saw it working, and felt it working, I can say it does what it says.

Poor reliability/build & excellent concept / technology
When it works it's fantastic. The reliability and build quality are disappointing. The seller swapper out obviously defective unit easily. Good on them. The replacement dial knob for needle depth is misaligned but still works properly otherwise so far. I love the technology. Love microneedling but I can't say this device in particular meets my expectations of reliability and build quality. Good customer service from the seller.Note: corrected a nonsensical typographical error 1/17/19

Made in China preopened when delivered
The pen arrived in an pre opened package and the needle heads were not the authentic ones. Over all not worth the money. It was made in China as well and like most things lacked quality.
