Strong, somewhat cloying scent (but everybody else seemed to love it). Some arrived cracked but no big deal. They still burned fine. Once you put them in votive holders you cant tell the difference and the cracks did not affect burn.I bought these for ambiance at a small women's "retreat". They filled the gym with a light feminine scent and did the job I expected. Would have been more picky maybe if I was using them at home.

These vanilla candles smelled nice but wicks were not centered.

Additional update: After a couple days of the Harvest Apple scent I’m better appreciating its sweet, delicate scent. So even though I initially thought I didn’t love it quite as much as the others, now… I do!!!Update: This time I’ve tried the Harvest Apple scent and just thought I’d add a note that this scent isn’t as strong as the others. It’s pretty, but I thought it would be more intense, so I’m going to go back to the Caramel Apple or Maple when I order again.These candles make my whole kitchen smell delicious, without being overpowering or giving me a headache, which a lot of candles do even if only scented with essential oils. They burn evenly, and when too low to burn in a glass votive holder, they pop out very easily, which other votives often don’t do. Awesome!! I’ve also had the caramel apple cider scent. Love both and will be reordering!

These are very nice and smell beautiful.

It's important that you have the correct size votive candle holder. I tried 3 of my own and the candle permanently burned out after 90 minutes. Get this company's holders or you'll be disappointed

These smell great and the color is true to the photo. They look very pretty when lit. They seem to burn clean. However, the burn time is incredibly fast. The photo is after less than 2 hours of burning. This is the burn time I'd expect of a tea light, not a votive. Additionally, the bottoms are not cut straight on all of the candles, meaning the wick burns at a slight angle. (Please note: my candle Was in a glass votive holder and the melted wax pooled at the bottom, hence the shape in the photo. The candle did begin as pictured in the product description photos. ) if you are just needing candles for a short event, then you'll be pleased with the wonderful vanilla fragrance and the pretty warm, creamy color. If you're hoping for something longer lasting, I couldn't recommend these.

These candles are GREAT! My wife wanted a real candle burning rather than those lights that look like a candle is burning that we already have. But we wanted a candle with natural ingredients and something that didn't smell flowery or soapy. (You know what I mean! LOL!) I got the Apple Harvest scent and they smell like somebody is baking in the kitchen and fills the whole house. We got them a few weeks ago for Chanukah and Christmas Time because we knew we would be having some company over and everybody that came in our house said how nice it smelled. They loved them and we love them. NOTE: Right on the package it says "Refills for Tight Fitting Votive Cups" so make sure you put these in tight cups that fit right around the circumference of the candle or else it will spread out and burn down too quickly. We're Jewish and it's traditional to burn a small candle on the anniversary of when a loved one dies. We get these candles at the supermarket. They're called Yarzeit (not sure about the spelling) candles (or just ask for religious candles) and the glass cups for these fit perfectly for Shortie's candles. After you burn the candle down in it (it's unscented) use the glass cup for Shortie's candles. You can then put the Yarzeit candle cup in a more decorative holder like we did. Check out my pictures. We love them and will be ordering more and experimenting with the different scents. And the frosting on the cake is they are made of good, healthy ingredients right here in the GREAT USA! These candles burn perfectly with the use of a glass votive cup which fits them snuggly. I burned my first Shortie’s votive in a tapered (wider at the top) cup and the candle did not burn evenly - I reached out to Shortie’s and they advised me to use a snug (same width from top to bottom) cup and the results were perfect. Thank you to the folks at Shortie’s for a great product and great customer service.

I love the scent; once it burns the smell is not as strong. I was having trouble keeping the candles lit though. Contacted the seller and the response was quick and thorough. Found out the votive holder I was using was too large. I'm very impressed with this seller and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.UPDATE: tried the candles with proper sized votive holder and would now give 5 stars. They burn very well and the glass holder fits within my old, bigger holder.
