I purchased these rather ugly taupe-colored curtains from Wal-mart when we first moved in to this house 3 years ago because I didn't have any curtains for that window. For about a year, I left them open all year round, even at night. Later, I began to close them because I thought it would be a better idea for privacy.This past year (in 2019) there has been a lot of settling in the house, which had made the windows allow air through small cracks. It really became obvious with high winds, but that also made it easy to pinpoint where the cold air was coming through. So, obviously if cold air is coming in, so is hot air during the summer. Since it costs more to heat and cool when air is coming in, an extra set of curtains seemed like a good solution since I didn't want blinds or plastic. I realized that my "ugly" curtains were quite thick, so they were doing a good job keeping the air out. However, they darkened up the room too much to keep them closed all day. Considering it would be about $70 for wooden blinds, the curtains definitely seemed like a great option!!When I realized Amazon actually had some amazing offerings for curtains, I thought about replacing the ugly curtains entirely. However, I was slightly annoyed thinking I had spent money on them and would now throw them out. So, I decided that I would search for something complimentary to the taupe.The curtain would have to:1. have weight (so they hang nicely behind the other curtains)2. be thick enough to detain the cold/hot air behind the curtain (so open threads won't work)3. allow light through4. add "muted" privacy (without creating a dungeon)This is a very tall order! To experiment, I had put a white curtain up (that I had on hand) to see if my idea of detaining the air would even work - and it did! However, the white against the taupe curtain did not look good at all. I tried three others and chose this one.All in all, this curtain is perfect!!!!! The thread of the curtain is woven very tightly, so air does not easily pass through. I can stick my hand behind this curtain and feel the cold air sitting there. (I want it to stay there!) It does add privacy (I call it "muted" privacy haha) because you would have to get very close to the window to see inside the house. I can also see out, but my view is also somewhat "muted". The sunlight easily penetrates this curtain, too.Plus, the design kind of looks like a jacquard design, which sorts of adds to the privacy element. You probably can't tell, but the taupe curtains are actually a damask jacquard, too, which probably makes these two work well together. The color of this curtain is a cream color, which is what I needed, because white against the taupe was just too harsh (but it's what I had on hand). The curtain also has a slight shimmer to it, adding a nice touch of elegance. My ugly duckling taupe curtains don't look so bad now!Since the curtains have a little bit of weight, they hang quite nicely. They didn't have any wrinkles right out of the bag, so no steaming needed. (I assume this is due to the type of material used.) I couldn't be more pleased, and I tried about 3 different curtains before settling on this one. I did need 2 panels (one for each window), but at least I only needed 1 for each window! Some of us try to save money and stretch the curtain as far as it can go when what we often need is 2 panels for a single window. Otherwise, it just looks, well - funny. Fortunately, each panel is wide enough that you only need two panels for the entire window, not 4 (for it to look nice). Oh, and the curtains are very soft and fall nicely and evenly when hung. They are not stiff at all.Overall, I am simply delighted. The pictures I have don't do them justice, but hopefully they will give you an idea.I hope this review helps you make a purchase decision! Simply beautiful. Brightens the space and gives the window a little bit of flair/texture without being over the top. Love them!!

Very pretty curtains. Flowers all over, bringing garden inside. I fish flowers be smaller in size. I like how curtains finished nicely on the bottom, very fashionable look. My bedroom window is 16 feet wide from wall to wall. So I ordered 6 panels for good coverage (each panel 75" W). This curtains are definitely lace and looks very feminine and delicate. I'm totaly satisfied.

Product was well described and was more than I thought it to be. The weight allow the spate to hang beautifully. The lace let you see out quite well. The rose pattern blocks and Obscures the outside from looking in. A lovely balance.I am very pleased with the drapes and the seller who sold it. The delivery was fine and the product was exactly as described. It has deep pockets and was able to accommodate my thick round drapery rods.

The perfect sheer and classic flag to make any room beautiful. I used these in my bedroom and they sparkle and add the perfect touch to our chenille bedspread that covers my bed. Gave me the Victorian look i had planned for our bedroom.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the material given the price. I used the draperies as a wall accent and it looks great.
